A Dog's Life

I took this picture the other day before I left for work. When I came out to the living room the pillow was in front of her and she looked like she was squashed between the pillow and the back of the couch. So I moved the pillow and she put her head on it. The look on her face was either sad because I was leaving her or mad because I disturbed her slumber. Either way it was cute and I had to take a picture. She is such a goofy dog.
I wish I had her life and who wouldn't want the life of a dog. Especially when they are pampered and spoiled rotten like mine. I think it would be lovely to sleep for 16 hours and not have to do anything but give my humans unconditional love like she does. I love my baby!!

Aww she is precious. She looks a little sleepy so I think she must have been upset you disturbed her sleep. I am sure she got over it fast and went right back to sleep.

@morgoodie It's amazing how pets worm their way into our hearts.

I am sure she did too. Probably as soon as I left for work she closed her little eyes went off to dreamland.

@ScribbledAdNauseum This one sure did. She belong to a neighbor across the street and he was trying to find her a home since he had gotten a job that was going to keep him away from home more than he wanted to leave her. She had run away a couple of times and had come over here so my kids and I fell in love with her before then. I couldn't help but say I would take her because he said he was going to have to take her to the shelter and I figured since she is a pit bull then she would probably not get adopted. She is such a sweetheart and a cuddler. Even my sister who said she would never get close to another dog after she lost hers, has changed her mind. I like my dog better than most people

She is so gorgeous and looks quite sad in this picture. It must be because you are going out

Thank you and she does look sad. Of course, she looks sad all the time, but that is why we think she is just adorable. Funny how we attribute human qualities to our animals. I like to think she is sad because I am leaving her. I would much rather stay home to snuggle on the couch with her. She is a very good snuggle buddy. She is always snuggling with my daughter.

@nanette64 Oh I am sorry to hear that. My sister had a dog that passed away from cancer. I still miss her. Yes Bella does fit her because she is beautiful. (I am a little biased lol) I didn't know that they were prone to cancer. I will definitely keep an eye on her. She is 3 years old now. How old was your dog when she got cancer?

@nela13 Well I was just trying to make her more comfortable. If she is going to be mad at me for that then she is very ungrateful. Kids these days.

Nope the couch is all hers. That is where she sleeps if she is not under my covers in my bed.

@morgoodie My dog always takes the place where I was before. Be it a floor, a bed or a seat in the car.

wow, what a beautiful dog! I love that you saved her from a shelter as well! I got my dog from someone as well but she probably would have been adopted in no time from a shelter because she is husky. I love dogs and hate that some get bad names because of their breeds

Thank you. She is such a sweet girl, I just couldn't think about her going to a shelter. I imagine a husky would have been scooped up quick. I don't like that dogs get a bad rap because of what kind they are either. All dogs have the potential to be dangerous given the right circumstances.
