Early Morning Adventure: “BUS TRIP?!?”

Now, I am in the bus and waiting to start my early morning adventure. My younger brother, his wife, daughter and I are going to have a trip for about 5 hours by bus. It is 5 AM. Whoah! The rain keeps pouring and hopefully, no rain in Caloocan, Manila. I missed being a backpacker. It was always my travel adventure. “Do you like traveling by bus?” “Are you a backpacker?” Image Credit: Shavkat

I like travelling by bus when a train isn't available. A duration of 5 hours is pleasant although the pouring rain sounds annoying. I used to be a backpacker and now have a family. Yes, these days I travel with my two children. My daughter can get travel sick on a bus. Therefore I like her to sit near to the front of the bus. That way she can feel more steady seeing out of the window. My disabled son is in a wheelchair and it is hard to get him on board. Bus steps are a struggle with him. His wheelchair doesn't fold and it can easily be broken.

At this moment, the bus is not moving. I think there is something wrong. Oh, boy! It is still raining. I am taking the time of making me busy mylotting. It was really a great adventure for traveling in any kinds of transportation. No train in my city. We can only ride this in the capital of my country. On the other hand, some kids are not fond of riding on a bus. They do get sick easily along the journey. But then, they can able outgrown this. For young boy of yours, I think it is also nice if a bus has special commode for him. I am sure he will be delighted to have such adventure. Road trip is also a good way in taking a chance of traveling.

@infatuatedbby We are still far behind with the usage of school bus. If we are going to have a field trip, the school rent a local bus. For me, I find it safer.

I never tried to ride on a school bus. It wasn't popular in my city. When I was in primary school, I went to a public school. We don't have a car at present. A bus ride is more ideal for a long trip.

A solo travel can be a good way to escape from a busy life. Or, you cam ask your son to have a short travel somewhere out there.

@Shavkat Oh yes, there are local buses that travel within the cities and there are what is called Greyhound buses that travel through the states. A more economical way to travel certainly.

In 2009 I travelled from Germany to Lithuania by bus. The journey lasted more than 30 hours. The tickets were very cheap and the bus wasn't very comfortable. Next time I will to go by train instead. I think that is more comfortable than 30 hours on a bus. In 2010 I travelled around in Europe as a backpacker. I visited Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.

@Shavkat I would also do it again if there aren't other options, but 30 hours is a long time. I was happy that my husband and I travelled together, we were able to talk, play games etc. Backpacking is fun, maybe I will do it again someday. Which place would you like to visit if you go backpacking again?

Wow. You had a great travel, my friend. I am not sure if I can travel 30 hours by bus though. If there is no other way, I will endure it. I do like backpacking from one place to another again in the future. Time is quite limited lately.

Why did you move to South? It wasn't the final destination. We have to ride a taxi going to Valenzuela secondary to heavy rain. It is quite troublseome.

I've traveled by bus before and sorta liked it. I traveled from Chicago, Illinois to Flint, Michigan. My brother traveled with me, on this trip from our sister's house, to our other sister's home. Why don't you back-pack any longer, it sounds like fun?

@Shavkat you're right.it's a kinda rhetoric.I never see any hummingbird in China, there are only some sparrows and swallows. The sparrows were massacred by Chinese in 1950s,This is true China,A hell without any mercy and love to every little life.

I think it is fine to endure 5 to 6 hours travel by bus. It is also expected that there is an interval of stopover. That would be fine.

Buses nowadays are usually very comfortable but I can't read or knit or do anything when I'm travelling in a bus or car or I get sick. Luckily train and plane travel don't affect me.

I enjoy traveling by bus, but as long as I'm not stuck on it for countless hours (unless it's somehow extremely comfy )
