No one to be with him.

When I was confined in the Hospital last May, I met along a patient who is alone. He never has a watcher or someone to look after him, he was the one who takes care of his medicine. I was seeing him from where my bed is. I thought that he was never alone. But as the days passed, we noticed that he was really alone. Doctors visit him and will always ask where is his watcher. He simply will say, 'I have no one to be with me Doc'. I am all alone since I was confined here. I heard the Doctor ask if who is the one who gets his medicines, he said he will ask the boy beside his bed to get it for him in the pharmacy. Then the day has come that the Doctor needs to get him home because he was completely healed. We watched him fix his things and making a call. We saw him crying, looks like no one will want him to take home. Until one Doctor saw him and offered him sheltered in some of the Dormitory near the Hospital for the meantime. Since no one will get him. He was carried by a wheelchair. We wonder how things run on him there. We also wonder why no one wants to care for him. We didn't bother asking him because the boyfriend doesn't want it. Is he a bad person, that is why no one looks for him during his confinement?

What ever may be the reason it is very bad now at this stage of life he is all alone and there is no one to look after! I think there must be some places in your country to look after such people by the Government dear friend? Very sad!

We feel sad for him too. At one time my Brother offered him food which he gladly received and thank my Brother. He is old but he still can manage himself though.

@AKRao24 Oh yes, we can see that he longed for someone to look for him during his confinement. It's not easy without someone you can talk to and go check your medicines. Good thing, there are still good people who are willing to help him.

just like most of the older citizens who are sick, i think the family of that patient abandoned him because maybe they cannot sustain his treatment and medications. i hope he is brought to a nursing home.

It would be great if that's the reason, what if no one wants to be with him because he was a bad father or something like that?

I hope it's not because he's a bad person. Though, it's sad either way. As everyone needs someone by their side.

We are thinking about it too. What if he was a bad Father? That is why no one likes to take care of him.

Hi Bhem. We will never know for sure, but still I think he is a good person and he is trying to better himself. For whatever happened in his life, still at least one person could have stood by him. It is just sad how others can be so mean.

It should be like that, at least one person stood by him but there is no one. I heard from some patient, he was the one who went to the Emergency room of the hospital because he was not feeling well. He even has his things with him. We thought that maybe he was a bad father or something like that, that is why his son did not stand by him even only for a day.

@JustBhem Even if he is a bad father, I think he still deserves forgiveness. We will never know the real story but I think he is doing his best to change. I feel sorry for him really.

Sadly I fear the same as I do not have any friends and my family is spread out and busy. Right now I am in good health and even if I get mildly sick,I alone take care of myself. But I am scared to be in situation where I have to be dependent on someone and no one around me to help me out, emotionally specifically!!!!

@JustBhem staying with my dad, but he too is old...can't expect help from him. Have very few friends who are busy in their life...we whatsapp, but don't expect anyone to leave their work and help me with my problems..

that is quite a sad situation indeed I wonder why not one of his family will now want to get him too. We can't really know why unless we ask him I hope when he comes back, someone will be with him too

If only we ask him, we were hesitant to ask him. I hope wherever he is, he is fine.

We heard that he has a son, a taxi driver. But they never see them visiting him. Maybe he has a bad relationship with his Family.

He could be a homeless person or there could be many reasons why he is alone, including that it might be his own choice to be alone.

@JustBhem could be an estrangement from his family for various reasons. It is sad when these things happen, but they do happen.
