Where Were You During The Hippee Movement?

United States

I was thinking about it, and how long ago it was. I remember me, and some friends would go out to Hollywood, and go to the club's. I will never forget going to the Whiskey ago go. Now when I think about it seems so long ago. I didn't go to Wood Stock, but heard a lot about it. Those days are long gone but just wonder if any one here in mylot was part of that era.

@cintol Wow, that's amazing. Seems like they didn't let anything worry them.

Yeah, it was like a time of people expressing themselves. I still see signs on stores, no shirt, no shoes, no service. The signs remind me of that time.

I was at primary school during the Hippy Movement. Some of it even happened before I was born. We travelled to Sri Lanka and we met a hippy from Canada. He had spent weeks in Goa in India and was going to stay for a week in Sri Lanka. He had long hair and dressed in hippy like clothes.

I heard that it was around the 70s. I read about it before but did not take too much notice As I do not like modern history

I was born in '64 so for the most part I was learning to walk, talk, fight with my siblings and cousins and just being a child. I didn't know what a hippie was until I saw my first Cheech & Chong movie. (That was in the 70's)
