When I was a little boy, I lived with my grand parents in our county for better schooling and my parents lived in a small village 31 KM away.
Through my childhood, I thought it as a long long distance that I could only meet my parents during summer and winter vacations, although I missed them so much.
Even after grow up, it's still a long way in my mind.
And now? For me, it's only a long distance running on some weekend. I can easily finish running 31 Km within 3 hours without any rest on the way.
I even regret that why I didn't go back to my village each weekend!
Till now, the longest distance I've run is 33 km, and the longest I've walked is 60 Km.
I'm trying to finish my 1st Marathon this autumn, that's 42.195 km.
How about you?

@FlyingFox If it is morning, I would do it again. It was almost night time when we did that walkathon.

Yeah, 42 km is really big.
For me, I just wanna prove that I'm able to finish it, that's enough.
Now I run 10 km every 2 days, and my final purpose is for health.

keep it as a hobby, you'll benefit from it. I now keep running 3 to 4 times each week, 10 km or more each time. I found myself fell in love with running

That is quite a long distance run. The longest route I've walked is also about 33 kms. The Seawall in Vancouver begins at the Convention Center in downtown Vancouver, extends 9 kms around Stanley Park, then another twelve kms around False Creek to Kitsilano Beach. I have walked the entire seawall from beginning to end and back again many times.

Maybe you can try 11 km next time, then 12 km... and someday you'll find 10 km walking is a piece of cake
