My husband recently purchased a clearance art kit for 10$ It has drawling boards, pencils, paints, brushes and so much more. He finally sat down to use it after dinner. The girls and I joined in for some fun. In all our years of marriage he has refused to drawl. I got to admit, I really love his piece. He wasn't finished when I snapped this picture. I'm like the queen of stick figures and people asking what am I trying to drawl. Have you ever wondered why people gave up a talent because of critics? I'm doing that now! why did he stop??? I will one day get him to paint a kindness rock!

Oh, that's terrible! I hate when ignorant people become critics and drag down people with real talent.

So true! The world would really be much better off if everyone was more supportive and encouraging of others.

I think he did a great job. In some instances, we need to develop our innate talents due to criticisms.

@Daelii I am not good at drawing. But I am trying to enhance it by watching an art class on Youtube.

yes! He even did this mind you, with kids hanging off him and just for fun. I'd love to see what he did if he had a moment to really just drawl!

I guess some people just don't have enough confidence in themselves.

it is sad that some families tear down their kids in stead of raising them to be strong in who they are / with confidence!

Because we don't like to be criticized. This can defeat our confidence. It leads that we don't want to try again.

Some people take it to heart they are not good when they really are and the one that put the idea in his head won because he stopped doing what he clearly had a talent in.
