Do you still play CD's or are you strictly in the digital age now?

I was tidying up before roomie's return, in the kitchen I have a radio that also plays CD's. This was purchased many moons ago..and the radio doesn't really work well since..I am in the boonies..surrounded by trees, but I do use the CD player. I played a CD for the first time..in 8 months maybe.I usually do digital. I do have a fairly large CD collection.though.and don't plan to get rid of them. What about you? CD's or digital?

Same here. It seems more practical and convenient to just feed the cd into the player than shuffle songs in my gadget. I subscribed to Spotify primarily for my husband and kids. I still play my CDs in the car or listen to the radio.

Yes, if you have a player in your car it is a reason to use them.

I have a cd player that I bought a few years ago. It's one of those small ones that you hang on the wall. It hasn't really been used in years though I do have a CD collection dating back atleast a decade. I haven't bought new music (cd's that is) in that long.
I even had cassette's at one time but of course I got rid of them years ago.

@snowy22315 Just a little bit, yeah. I remember my days of walking around outside with my walkman and thinking how cool I was. I think cd's came around when I was in my preteens so then I'd have my cd player and thought I was all that and a bag of chips.
Now with this digital age you carry your phone, wallet, watch and entertainment in a square device. Oh no to mention your pedometer, GPS and anything else I am missing that a phone can do.

@NJChicaa I like Spotify..Pandora is OK, but the way they used to have it was that they would only play similar songs to what you requested. I haven't used it for years though.

@snowy22315 I had music on my last iPhone. Now I just use Apple Music on my iPhone when I'm in my car and either that or Pandora on my Amazon Echo when I'm home.

I know someone who has a huge collection of 45 records. I am not sure he still plays them though. He is basically a collector at this point, and sells some from time to time.

@snowy22315 We listen to it in the car but not so much at home. I can cope with it for a while then it seems to get to me and I just want silence.

Nothing wrong with that..but they are a bit fragile. I bought a Green Day CD a few years ago,,and stepped on it or something..that was the end of that!

Nowadays I use Spotify to listen music. It is amazing for me. Last time I was listening an album on Spotify when I looked at my CD rank and I saw exactly the same CD I was listening to. I remebered how happy I was when I could buy the CD abroad as they didn't sell it in my country. I had to smile how the world changed.
