Did you read the news story about the man who got licked by a dog and had to have his arms and legs amputated? So obviously "bad bugs" (microbes, bacteria, germs) can cause diseases. Do "bad bugs" also cause gum disease, tooth loss and all kinds of other health challenges and even death? Are you taking any special precautions? What do you think?
http://www.ihealthtube.com Dr. David Kennedy says the thought that fluoride reduces tooth decay is nothing but a myth. He mentions a much more effective way ...

I posted a discussion about the latest Sony robot dog which I would buy if I could afford it.

Is that to avoid germs? Are you concerned about pets spreading germs?

@1hopefulman Never thought about it, but as a rule I never get too close to animals - except the stuffed ones.

I don't know where his dog has been, nor if the man had any skin abrasions. Germs are everywhere, both good and bad ones. It makes sense to take precautions. It also helps to seek medical attention ASAP if something is not right.

I think we can increase our immunity by living healthy, eating right nutrition and keeping clean and avoiding things that can harm our health. What more can we do?

There are germs everywhere. Even after you clean your house the germs are still around.

Yes, there are germs everywhere. But not all germs are the same. Some are even beneficial. We need to use some common sense and be aware of potential dangers.

@Susan2015 We have to find ways to keep them under control so that our body is strong enough to deal with them.

Yes, we need to be more concerned with hygiene as there are some strange things going on especially in the hospitals.

that's right. The recommendation I can give to you is wash your hands before you eat or prepare food, after moving garbage, after playing with your dog or pet and when you come from the streets, cause we always touch dirty things out there.

@cottonsun I agree! The first thing I do after I get home is to wash my hands carefully, as who knows what I have touched while I was out and on the public transportation system.

It is hard to know how true is all that is presented on YouTube. I do know that iodine is an important trace mineral. I am going to eat some nori every day from now on which is supposed to contain that trace mineral and will keep reading information on it.

Of course "bad bugs" can cause gum disease, dentists suggest to brush your tongue because many germs live there. I would never let a pet lick me.

That seems an extreme case. Many things can cause gum disease and health challenges. You just need to take good care of yourself.

I've read this article a couple of days ago. That dog has nasty bugs.I wonder how's the dog been.Is it still alive? If it has been carrying the virus/germs/ bacteria, whatever you call them, the dog should be in bad shape too.Right?
