The best scientist according to me is the German physicist Albert Einstein. You know his discovery of how to make an atomic bomb made war more dangerous. In his time up to now most of the scientist are impress of his discovery. Many more kinds of invention i.e. weapons of warfare are discovered today through his one discovery.

Even if I appreciate EINSTEIN very much ..... I vote for LEONARDO DA VINCI: He was able based on music to find in physics the laws of motion. And he proofed them without having a watch!
What he found out, he made popular by his talent to describe, to paint and to communicate. The famous experiment at the Tower of Pisa was a better show than any university lesson.

Newton is probably my favourite, he was one of the most briliand minds to walk the earth, and at the time, his dicoveries changed the world. Also James Clarke Maxwell, if you don't know, neither computers, cell-phones or satelites, radios or TV would have been invented was it not for his work on electromagnetic fields.
Both these guys were also creationists who believed in God

I don't really know there were many brilliant minds in history of humankind it's hard to choose one. There is no doubt that Enstien is one of the greatest but also Leonardo Davinci was a great one.

the best scientist of all time is Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS (born 8 January 1942) is a theoretical physicist. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He is known for his contributions to the field of quantum physics, particularly his theories regarding theoretical cosmology, quantum gravity, black holes, and his popular works in which he discusses his own theories and cosmology in general. These include the runaway popular science bestseller A Brief History of Time, which stayed on the London Sunday Times bestseller list for a record-breaking 237 weeks.
Despite enduring severe disability and, of late, being rendered quadriplegic by motor neuron disease, his scientific career spans over forty years. His books and public appearances have made him an academic celebrity and world renowned physical theorist.
