Few days ago I talk about battery that almost explode in my hand, and today I read the news that an iPad on display at the Apple Store experiences hot battery problems (overheating) to issue a burst of fire. Apple Store employees rushed to sink the iPad into a container filled with sand. This happened at the Apple Store Leidseplein, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Police and firefighters also came to evacuate the incident. Even though the iPad's fire at the Apple Store was not dangerous, but there were still victims. Three Apple Store visitors must be hospitalized because they have mild breathing problems. This incident was first reported via Twitter, then invited local media attention. Viral on the internet, as a result the information expanded and became a lively conversation. Because the problem of hot batteries to cause a fire has happened several times at the Apple Store so far this year. What do you do when you want to buy a smartphone suddenly happens like this?

I dont own an apple product but I do have an LG. When I feel that the battery gets hot I turn off my phone to let it cool. I find that the battery tends to over heat when I play games on my phone or do anything that requires using alot of data.

Yes, games applications require more batteries than other applications, because games applications use more processor and graphics.

That's the main reason high end game's and multitasking heat up the phones.

Any brand can occur if there is an error in production, defects in production, and the battery is not tight.

@anya12adwi Oh, that's very tragic Samsung very popular here, sometimes those who produce it are not careful, so once marketed the incident cannot be avoided.

Nowadays the batteries have started to the major concern while buying smartphones. The bigger the battery the longer it last through the day or days. But the manufacturers have started ignoring the saftey measures while creating such huge batteries.

they should not use explosive material, because this is not just one time. The higher the battery capacity, the higher the level of exposure, the special materials needed to withstand the explosion.

Yes I saw some people were injured and burned. I wonder if they will sue Apple. I do not have those.

I also don't have an Apple product, I'm sure those who were hit by the disaster could sue Apple for the production negligence.

@May2k8 Yes they may just do that. It is highly dangerous that such a product that cost so much would fail.

That's great, if your iPhone feels hot or exceeds 40 degrees Celsius it should be turned off so it doesn't burn.

I hope this will never happen to everyone, because this is purely the negligence of the vendor.

Hopefully you don't get a problem, because the slimmer a battery with a large capacity can be a disaster.

Make sure your iPhone isn't running an application that drains a lot of battery when it's charged.
