It is quite late to post this discussion of mine due to time constraint. To cut it short, I had a nightmare last night. In my dream, I was walking on a street and then, I was quite surprised where my feet lead to. The place is so familiar because it is a funeral home. A funeral home where my late father laid his body in a casket. As I enter the place, I am experiencing a heavy heart. My feet still moving towards the casket inside the establishment. With a thrilling surprise, I saw my uncle laid in the casket. The disbelief clings to my senses. As I woke up, I tried to find a wood to knock it and even done a soft bite.
Even if it is an old belief, I need to knock on wood to cast away bad luck. I am really not into death thing, especially if it is in the bloodline concern. I can't take it.
"Do you have a nightmare like this?"
"Is it in your practice to knock on wood?"

Let’s just hope that this is just a bad dream concocted by your playful mind. Some says dream is the opposite of what it’s supposed to happen, others believe it is a message from above, while others say it is just your subconscious mind trying to interpret your days activities.

@rsa101 Perhaps, my dear friend. I am not sure if I have a gift or something. In the real world, I can read minds. I am not that expert though. Moreover, I can anticipate what will happen for a particular event for certain people. I don't like the idea of having an active third-eye. I could also sense some strange presence sometimes.

@crossbones27 I agree. People cannot explain it sometimes. The feeling is quite different if we talk about family.

Don't worry, dear friend, it's just a dream. I dreamed my beloved grandma several times. We don't knock on wood.

@Shavkat Many nightmares have the opposite meaning.

@caopaopao I do think it is. Perhaps there is some coincidence in some situations.

nightmares, i had some of those before, but now, i sleep soundly like a log. but it is so hard to wake up once you are on a nightmare. it is so hard to move our big toes, which is what my late mother told me before.

@Shavkat i do the biting too kabsat. Even if knocking on wood.
But the most part is I use a very sharp knife or bolo and hit a living trunk of a tree like the cacao tree at the backyard. Twice, so the bad luck will be shifted to good life ahead.
The soft bite I do when I dream that my teeth is falling.

I may say "knock on wood" but I don't take it literally.
The last person I dreamed about who was in a casket was myself. That was 18 years ago. BOO! I'm still here.

I don't knock on wood because I am not superstitious. Seems this dream is causing some unnecessary worrying on your part. Most dreams are symbolic in nature and your dream may be symbolic of some type of problem in your life that you need to deal with. One that has been hanging over you for some time and is causing you stress or anxiety. It could be a toxic friendship, a bad relationship or some other situation that you need to walk away from.
Sometimes dreams are just dreams but sometimes they show us things in our lives that we need to change.

You have a point. In fact, this is the second time that I had dreamt about my uncle. The first dream drove me to call him and found out that he is having an illness. Perhaps knowing that reason, I had dreamed about the second time and it wasn't good at all. I do think it is the opposite meaning.
Moreover, you are right that some dreams give us warnings ahead of time or things that need to change in our lives.
