Let me share this kind of food and my fellowmen starting to love them. I was surfing the Internet and a new food was being created by the local people in Bohol, Philippines. The word "chicha" derived as crispy. They were cultured "super worms" and introduced in the market. It seemed that there will be a potential market for the locals. In my own opinion, they claimed to be "super worms" because of the chilis added up to the ingredients. Thus, it is another exotic food was born in my country.
"Would you like to try eating these super worms?"
"What is the strangest food that you had tried?"

I would not ask you to share those delicacies. Just like @pgntwo I had snails and raw oysters in France and also frog legs. Tripe, octopus and fried calf brain in Italy. Here in Switzerland the "Tartar Steak" is popular, it is seasoned ground beef meat, I like it.

I feed dried meal worms to the birds in the garden but I am not adventurous enough to try eating these.

haha I made a discussion about this exotic food last year. But I think the business is doing good especially that it's now being known throughout the country.

@rachz_kisses As what I mentioned to one of the mylotters, I don't want to be called a birdman.

@Shavkat It is. There are lot who are patronizing it, but I haven't seen one in our house. My family, as expected, don't have the appetitite to eat worms.

@hereandthere Oh, lobsters are quite pricey. I love that, too. But I need to eat less. I am afraid to acquire high blood pressure.

@Shavkat the rabbit tasted like chicken, the alupihan dagat (mantis shrimp) tasted like shrimp, though mother likens it more to lobster

I think I would be battling to eat these although I have eaten bardi grubs before.

I would love to try that. Well, the most exotic food I have had was the "kamaru" -- fried cricket of Pampanga. It's highly recommended when visiting the province of Pampanga.

@freelancermariagrace I am pretty sure that I will be in the same situation. I think the weirdest food that I had in the province is eating "kuhol" or snails from the farms.

@Shavkat Yes, it's kamaru in adobo. It tastes just okay but I almost puked in the middle of our lunch. Hahaha

I am pretty sure it is spicy and a bit salty. I haven't tasted it yet.
Let me share with you how they prepare it.

ows, i will still prefer the scarab beetle, "abal-abal", or the 'salagubang' in our language, kabsat. i would not even dare to take a bite of that because i imagine that thing i have phobia with, the harmless earthworm. eeeeww
