Too many eggs?

I mean, how many is too many? I love eating eggs cooked in every way possible, but I prefer them fried. Even my little son loves them . But I was thinking I'm overdoing it a little, I eat them almost every day and they might be yummy and the may have a high protein content, but they also have cholesterol. A lot of it! How many eggs do you eat in one week? I probably eat around 10, more or less. I must say that one morning I ate 10 or 11 fried eggs in less than 30 minutes. I strongly advise you to never try this...

I love eggs too. Don't worry about the cholesterol, it's the good cholesterol not the bad. So, it's good for you.

@Kasjnak There are two kinds of cholesterol a person needs to know about, HDL and LDL. I believe HDL is the one that's bad for you. Eggs have LDL, so not bad for you and will not hurt your cholesterol levels but help lower it.

@just4him yup, I know about HDL and LDL . Didn't know eggs had only LDL, maybe they also have a small amount of HDL. I'll do sone research

You know, I was thinking about that . Still, a routine check should be ok, better to prevent than to cure .

I eat as many as four eggs in the morning. That's my cap. Some days though, I pass on eggs and have none at all.

@Kasjnak eating that many eggs in just one sitting can't be good.

I usually eat two or three every two days. But there were times when I ate 5, 6 or 7 eggs, and, as I mentioned before, 10 or 11 in one morning. I should probably change this habbit a little .

@allen0187 it wasn't . It's not that it makes you feel bad, it's more like your body refuses to work, you feel extremly tired and uneasy. It's a strange feeling

Huh... I usually go for 10 every week. Perhaps I should be more careful, I know there can be some bad consequences on the long term.

That's nice. I don't like eggs much. My brother tends to have omelet a lot.

I like a nice fluffy omelet . But I prefer them fried. Maybe I should look into some new ways they can be prepared and mixed with othet ingredients...

I eat 2 eggs, usually scrambled with vegetables, almost every morning for breakfast. My trainer highly recommends them.

Now that's a nice breakfast! And I'm sure most trainers would recommend them, eggs give lots of nutrients . My problem is that I eat way too many

It is said that it's OK to have a consumption of an egg a day but if you have cardiovascular diseases, you may limit it to at least 3 times a week.

I heard something like that. I have no problems now, but it seems that my family has a long history with cardiovascular issues. That's why I want to check my heart, blood pressure and cholesterol

You're right that eggs are healthier than previously thought, but too many are not good for you!

Yes, it seems they are not so bad after all, but that day was not so good . Guess my liver was going crazy after so many fried eggs and I had to lay down for two hours. I wasn't feeling very well...

I tend to have one or two eggs a week, unless it calls for adding an egg in a recipe.

@Kasjnak Ahh. I've had sunny side eggs on Saturday for brunch--though my egg broke when I flipped it over.

When they are needed in a recipe there is no problem, I eat everything . The problem is with plain eggs, I think I eat way too many of them .

I cook quite a few eggs at work...probably between 60 and 100 most days. Mainly fried but also scrambled, poached, boiled and in omelettes. I have high cholesterol so only eat a couple of eggs a day but on occasion I go mad and eat a lot...I love eggs

Well, I have the same problem, I love eggs! But I think my relationship with them should become more serious. There was a time for... passion, now we should be more responsible . I mean, that cholesterol is no joke!

I eat 1 egg everyday. Sometimes 2 eggs in a day because I have to and need it . My doctor recommended this for my thyroid. I rarely eat eggs before but now I eat it almost everyday.

They are really good as food and sometimes they can act as a medicine, this being your case . Since I eat too many eggs, I think I should check my cholesterol regularly. Other than that, what can I say, they are delicious!
