An unexpected visitor

I was naked as the eyes of a clown and ready for bed when I heard a knock on my door the other night at about 9:45 PM. Who the heck?
It turned out to be one of the maintenance guys from our apartment complex. He speaks very little English, but was able to communicate to me that he had acquired a new/old table, and wanted my advice on how to restore it.
He knows I restore vintage loudspeakers, and he's seen me and my young neighbor friend restoring tables and night stands outside.
I threw on (the rest of) my clothes and went to his apartment, sandpaper, steel wool, and Orange oil in hand. I spent about half-an-hour there, giving him a quick lesson in where to use steel wool and oil only, how to sand with 150 grit, followed by 320, etc.
It was kind of funny, as we were speaking in a mixture of (his) broken English and (my) broken Spanish. I hope the table turned out well. I'll have to check with him later today.

@FourWalls It's hard to find a bad John Prine album. I think my favorite is still the first, the blue hay bale one.

This sounds like a fun visit 
. It happened to me too, trying to explain something in a different language, but nothing too complex.
I think he learned a lot from what you showed him, even more than what you told him 
. Still, you should visit him again, maybe the table was turned into a chair...
