I haven’t completed my notifications, because I’ve been enjoying our beautiful weather. I am working on them, however.
But I just had to share this great news with my myLot friends! Our Ice Princess, who recently recovered from 6 broken ankle bones, is back at it! She just performed in her second figure skating competition in her new level and skated away with two first place medals.
She was so determined to regain her strength and routine. She practiced twice a day since her return from summer camp and the new school year began.
And to think I get dizzy just getting out of bed.

As soon as I saw the thumbnail of the Ice Princess I was hoping this was your good news. I know she, and all of you, are excited to see her return to the rink, and in such convincing fashion. Congratulations to her on what must have been an inspirational and spectacular performance.

Awww, thank you! We are so proud of her to say the least. It took a lot of work on her part to regain what she had lost, but is an inspiration to so many. She skated to her old routine, and is working on new steps and a new routine. I believe the new skating season begins in February. Her coaches are so pleased with her and that makes us burst even more. I am not allowed to post any more videos of her performances on here or on Facebook without permission.

Considering her previous injury, your pincess must have really put a lot of effort to be back in action and she's been amply rewarded with those first place medals. Congratulations to her and your family! BTW, your princess looks beautiful and lovely.

Yes, she was a little concerned and shakey, but worked very long and hard at getting back to it. Only the young can do that. lol. She needed therapy to strengthen her legs, but is doing well now. Thanks so much! How did you like that spin shot my son took? Kind of like capturing a bird or plane.

@DianneN When my two girls were little, they joined ballet class and it helped a lot to my younger daughter overcome her asthma. She attended swimming class in summer too. She's married now :)

@flapiz No way! After her parents read her a story about a little girl ice skating, she asked if she could try it, too. So they brought her to a rink and she skated away. We think her ballet lessons helped with her balance. They got her coach and the rest is history. Right now, she has 5 coaches.

@DianneN - Good for her! Our daughters had to get back on their horses many times after a bad fall, but they never had broken bones from their riding. We were lucky. I'm so glad your sweet granddaughter is feeling better. She's so cute!

@DianneN - We were very, very lucky. One of our daughters took a nasty spill on her horse when trotting over a gravel road and the horse slipped. Another was trying to go over a jump when something startled her horse and it reared up and fell over on his back. She fell off and just barely escaped having it fall on her. I'm glad those days are behind us!

@ridingbet Enjoy your day off. I know you can use it!
Thank you. There are several types of spins. I believe she was coming out of a standing spin. She also had a touch of light makeup on. That's last year's costume. She will need a new one for the beginning of the new season to go with her new routine, new music, and new steps. It never ends.........

@Courtlynn Thanks, and she works very hard at it. She also sneaks candy. because she's just a kid being a kid when not on the ice.
