Praising God = no cancer

Hi My Lot, If you've been reading a lot of my posts over the last 6 weeks you will notice the theme - it has been a very worrying 6 weeks … as my mom has gone through many, many tests, images, blood draws , etc. She has heard the oncologist tell her that the oncologist thought it was cancer … she has taken the news with a few small tears and with a ton of bravery. This has proven to me that I will never be a fraction of the person that my mom is. So thankfully, on Friday, after 3 images and 1 biopsy.... It isn't cancer. I have never been so happy. I was so happy I cried. I was so happy that when I was done crying, I couldn't even smile. I realized that I had been holding my breath after I read mom's text saying the oncologist told her that it wasn't cancer. I wondered if I had been holding my breath for 6 weeks. I'm completely exhausted. I feel certain of God's hand in this. I prayed as did so many that this would not be cancer.... and it isn't. Thank you God.... God is Good, His Mercy Endures Forever Now, she does have some other issues going on. These are somewhat related to scar tissues and will need to be fixed surgically. It will solve a lot of issues for her, but it will also be abdominal surgery # 5 for her. Continuing prayers are appreciated.... So thankful, so thankful.... Picture:

Yes, and no. Yes, I'm glad your mother's body is functioning according to plan. No, God didn't make any changes (neither 'the God I think you mean' nor 'the one who tries to steal his position with that name' ... complicated, I know) God 'allowed the human body to form all its immune-systems (mostly cleaning-processes).' Your mother's body simply allowed them to work properly. I know I sound like a "dissenter," but I do this to emphasize the 'free will' aspect of "following God" (much like Jesus did in many ways). Cancer is a life-form that feeds off your body in various ways ... like an unborn fetus. Our bodies usually 'get rid of it' before it latches on somewhere inside. (It's said that most people have cancer floating around in their bodies by the age of 30.) We keep it from 'latching on' by living right.
It's a bit confusing ... like calling the media/casino/construction-tycoon Donald J. Trump "President," or calling bodybuilder/actor Arnol...

Interesting outlook. Here's my way of believing I believe in a higher power, in God who made everything and everyone. Now there are some things I consider to be all evil (example mosquitoes - carry disease, bite us, but don't appear to do anything useful) and there are some things in nature that appear especially brutal -- now I'm not sure those things are from or are "of" God ... but like I say, I don't know all things, and it's just a question in my mind since I have no proof. So true, God designed our bodies to work a certain way, and prevent certain issues from taking hold. (cancer is one, I'm sure there's many other examples) - now certain things influence if we get diseases, genetic risks, our age, weight, habit, exposures, gender, etc. and the list goes on. You can live by all the rules and sometimes still things go wrong and a person may end up with a disease. I think God works through a variety of ways in order to help people. By leading the physicians, by medical advancements, and... by preventing things from happening in the first place. I do appreciate your input however I will choose to know that this is a miracle. After being told for over a month that cancer had returned - all but certain by an oncologist, to finally - her levels dropping and no evidence on multiple tests - I attribute this to a miracle .

@FayeHazel I like to think of God as a Father. Sure, he 'takes care of you' when you're an infant; but as you get older he trusts you more-&-more to take care of yourself. Sure, it's an honor to be even a relatively-helpless slave on his plantation ... reminds me of what The Prodigal Son said of slaves in his father's house---that even THEY were better-fed than the sparse food he had to eat when he was still 'prodigal.' I had a small tumor on my bottom lip. We've cut it out--no more cancer--but I've still got the scar. And it started out just like any other cut inside my mouth (sometimes I bite down wrong or something), but that time I somehow had the (WRONG) idea that "I should put something on it." And I ended up 'feeding' the cancer. The cancer won't leave if you feed it! not even if God tells it to leave

@mythociate It is an interesting thing to think on - the relationship between us and God. As an old family friend used to say "You do your part and God will do His" - I think it's similar. Oh wow! I didn't know a tumor was even possible in that location. I'm happy you got rid of it. I could see where you would assume innocently that it was just a bite or something and put something on it. Apparently cancer cells have many times the receptors from sugar than regular cells do. Food for thought there. Though I do disagree, I think God has the power to do everything - now if that is through influencing physicians, influencing people to live healthier, or by an act of the miraculous -- I know God is all powerful, and I rest in that faith.

I am SO HAPPY for both of you. I know exactly what it's like to have that kind of fear and worry. I've been thru it all with my Grandma and Grandpa. You two should go out and celebrate, and of course, Thank God. Great news.

@Melanie_Marie Oh I am sorry that they passed. But bless you for being there to help them to live, at least to an older age. That is kindness indeed

@FayeHazel My Grandparents are on the other side now, but with a lot of prayer, determination, (and purposely making VERY good friends with their doctor,) I successfully got them BOTH to live to the age of 89. That alone took some years off my life. But I don't care. I wanted them around as long as possible.
