What is the difference between keeping a diary and keeping a journal? Which can you learn from more?
I never keep a diary, mostly journal.
I learn mostly from my journal.
The candle will be lighted tonight in remembrance of all our Jewish friends who lost their lives .

Seems I only do when I feel alone and I will write in it as a poem, no one knows the meaning but me or who its about. I have a whole book of poems I wrote when I was in a dark place in life.

I used to keep a diary when I was in high school. It was filled with facts about boyfriends and dates. lol. I only keep travel journals now. They are great if you want to return to a favorite restaurant somewhere in the world and has fond memories.
That's so kind of you to light the candle.

I think the distinction between a diary and journal has become a personal thing. I keep a journal but have known many people who would have called it a diary.

I don't have a diary at the moment. I finished the last one in 2012 and I haven't written since that time. Maybe I will start again one day.

I've kept a journal for over 35 years now. Not sure what the difference is in a journal and a diary, though. Is this a special date of remembrance for the Jewish deaths in the Holocaust? I will add my prayers also.

I don't keep a diary, but when I feel the absolute need of spiting something out I turn it into a poem. And that's how I get to keep my most intense thoughts forever alive.

I used to have a diary once upon a time and they are very personal and private and the journal people write down thoughts they have. I used to write in a journal too about days I had and how I felt. When I refer to a diary now it is my calendar book that I carry around with me that I write appointments I have and things I got and what has to be done and things I got.

I don't know the difference unless we'd refer to an academic journal. I've been keeping a diary since I was 8.

I have a personal diary which I have been using for over 15years. I also have journals but I don't seem to keep many of them. I discard the old ones when I feel like.
