Did you ever hear of Poopourri?

Not potpourri which is dried scented botanicals, but Poo pourri , a faddish product for people who are wanting to not leave a lingering smell when they relieve themselves. Before you "go" you spray a spritz or two on the surface of the water in the toilet. It is supposed to make a barrier to prevent the odor from coming up in the air. When I checked it out online, I found it at high end beauty places, selling for $9.99 for a two ounce spray bottle. You may ask why I am fascinated with this, and I will tell you. . . I have a recipe to make homemade poo pourri. I have even ordered cute little 2 oz. spray bottles. This is not a product I would buy, but I sure as shootin would sell it.

Actually I have one in my bathroom and it works wonders. My daughter bought it and i'm sure she paid a decent price for it. If you have a recipe to make your own I say do it. Saving money on a product that will work is a bonus

@Marilynda says in this discussion that it works wonders. It seems inexpensive to make, not sure if I would give it as gifts or how I would market it, but I have all the ingredients and now I have pretty little glass spray bottles.

Not sure it would work for a bedside commode because there is no water surface for the spray to land on, but it would be worth a try.

I heard about it last year. They had some hilarious commercials for it. You can find them on youtube.

Ah, what will they think of next. (That’s rhetorical....I’m truthfully scared of the answer!)

It is not really a necessary product, more of a vanity item. We shall see how it goes.

I won't buy it. It's so pricey for something a match, B&BW plug ins, Glad spray etc would do when those more "fragrant" times hit. I find it hard to see men spritzing some in but some women, yea.

I think I saw a recent commercial for that product? Fortunately, the stink in my house has not reached that level, lol. We just go with a strong air freshener.

And people would sure as shootin buy it. I have seen it, but have never used it. Not sure if it works or not, but the labels swear by the results.
