Do you have you children in daycare, a private babysitter, or are you lucky enough to stay at home with you kids? My son use to go to day care but now I have him with a private sitter.

My kids both went to a sitter's house. I went through two daycares and I would never take my kids there. I also interviewed several sitter's before deciding where to take my kids. I think it is such an important decision.

My kids go to daycare. I used to have my mom watch them but they got to be too much for her. I think she enjoys her piece and quiet and they realy like daycare.

My son used to go to daycare also, and he too loved it, but it got too expensive for me and I wanted to drop my son down to 7 hours a week but they still wanted me to pay for him bein their for 9 hours, so I got a private babysitter now.

My kids are now in school so I have time when they are there. I used to stay at home with them though as daycare for two kids is just too expensive!

daycare for one is too expensive, for 2 kids, you would just be working to pay for daycare, not worth it.

i think if you are busy a baby sitter would be better, i do not think they would be able to take care of every child in the day care.

I withdrew my son from daycare because they told me he had anger issues and was acting out on the other children and that i should seek outside help for him, so I took him to a child psycologist and there it came out that the other kids were taking toys away from him and picking on him and when he would tell a teacher they didn't do anything so he took matters into his own hands.

When my youngest daughter was daycare age she went to a daycare in town. I hated it. So I opened my own business in my home and stayed home with her. My other two girls never went to daycare because I worked nights at the time

i work from home also, but unfortunately my employer has a strict policy that if the kids are not in scholl they have to be at a daycare or sitter or have another adult in the house with them.

I personally wouldn't take that job, there is no job that I would put above my kids, that's the beauty of what I do, I am the boss, no one can tell me if my kids can be in my house while I'm working or not. Our company even encourages kids to come to our company events and conferences. There are many parents in our company who have built their business with their kids. www.earnwhileyouburn.com/jgannon or www.jillybeans.scent-team.com

it's hard now of days, because we have become to live more expensively then they did like 30 years ago, and that pushes more people to have to work meaning both parents have to work just live and that pushes kids to daycare and sitters

I got to stay at home and raise my kids, then worked a little and really hated it, then am helping to raise a grand daughter. I kind of caught the kaboose of the homemaker train.. I also helped raise two brothers and a sister (for awhile) - and being oldest in our family, once my mom went to work when I was almost 12, I did almost all of the housework.. even laundry and ironing, and the cooking.

My kids used to go to a private in-home daycare. I have now opened my own in-home daycare and I am able to stay home with my 2 kids. Life seems so much easier now!! I can be with my kids when they need me. I can attend my daughters preschool functions without haveing to fight for vacation time. It's great!!

I may be starting a day care home. We have our grandson more often these days. I have been unemployed since September 18th. Being unemployed has been beneficial to me. I was able to get my mental and emotional state of mind back together. My last job really stressed me out. Stress can kill you. Caring for children has always been a job that brings me great joy. If I don't find something that I am interested in come January, this is the avenue I will pursue.
