Tomato loving and more from this past week

Monday I noticed the curtain had a big stain running up it. I took it down sprayed it with stain remover then washed it. Great news is the stain came out but the bad news is the whole back of the curtain ripped up. I will be spending most the weekend sewing it by hand. The window it was in is very old. I looked and there is no caulk around the glass at all. I have to wait until it is 40°F outside to caulk it. In the meantime I will paint the windowsill and hope that helps some as that’s where the staining seems to be from the wood when it gets wet. I made two new recipes this week “Creamy French onion pasta” which wa delicious and “Crispy Peanut Butter Cup Brownies” which I expected to be amazing and the were just okay. Wednesday they delivered my oil but forgot to put in cold flow to keep it from freezing so I had to call them. Th guy delivered it an hour later. I think he only put one bottle in though and my tank needs two. I’m keeping that heat tape on during the day until bed to hopefull keep it from freezing up again. This week I wasn’t very active at mylot. I was busy doing surveys on mypoints, Swagbucks, Toluna and Global Test Market. I received a $15 Amazon e-gift card from Mypoints! My son used his money to buy the Fortnite figure in the photo. Once that arrived he has been wanting everything to do with tomatoes for dinner. One night he had seasoned fries with ketchup the next night pizza. Last night I made him a pizza bagel using the pizza flavored bagels I got at Aldi’s last week. They really just tasted like plain bagels so that as disappointing since they cost more. Yesterday we got a little snow but it was very wet so I shoveled the driveway so it wouldn’t freeze with up. Then I took the first bath in more years then I can even remember. I dumped in some bath salts my sister gave me and read a few pages in my book until I was too hot and had to get out. My hair is super long down to my hips. It had so many split ends so after my bath I chopped off 12 inches. As it dried it curled up more so it’s shorter then I intended but it looks nice and healthier. We are supposed to get a huge snow storm today around 2pm. It’s predicted anywhere from 24-30 inches of snow fall. They already declared a state of emergency in the county bordering ours.

I agree with @courtlynn I want to see before and after pictures because that is a lot of hair. We have a cold front coming here so today I am watching my movies while my boyfriend is ice fishing.

@Tina30219 So far this huge storm is less then an inch over the past 3 hours so I think the weathermen were way off! My boyfriend went hunting this morning hoping to get a bobcat but he didn’t get anything. He came here waiting for a package to arrive so while he took a nap I watched “Lizzie Borden took an axe”. I saw you watched The Book Club did you watch any others?

@JudyEv every night or it gets greasy. I thought tonight in the shower how much less conditioner I will use with it being half the length.

@bunnybon7 I live up at the top of Northeast PA. We only wouldn't up getting 9 inches. We got snow then an hour of sleeting rain then back to snow. So the bottom layer shoveling was two inches of very heavy slush. My dad thankfully was in town and put his little plow on his riding mower and plowed the driveway for me. It was only 13° here today and is supposed to drop to a wind chill of -20° tonight eek.

@Letranknight2015 when my dog was was a puppy she was a cuddler so she sat with me all the time when I was online. My boyfriends dog was a very active puppy and I had no time to be online when she was around. I think I am going to be asked to watch his two labs this upcoming weekend. I am not sure if I can manage all three because two need to be on leashes.

I wanna see a before vs after picture of your hair! Cause 12 inches is alot. Lol. Thats part of what sucks about curly hair. Ugh. Pizza and ketchup is good! Does he like actual tomatoes though? I don't . Sorry about the oil, and the curtain.

@Courtlynn No he has never even tried a tomato and hates ketchup but he ate it with the fries just because of his new toy. I didn’t think to take before pictures I just got out of the tub and started snipping. Here’s a photo of me today. I took the bath yesterday at 4, slept on my hair and wore it up a few hours so it looks pretty awful but straigher which isn’t such a bad thing. I’ll delete the photo after you and @Tina30219 see it.

How nice to have long hair though it takes time to care. That tomatoes figure is so sweet. You can make stuffed tomatoes, if you think he'll like it

@responsiveme I have never heard of stuffed tomatoes is it like stuffed peppers? He had spaghetti last night so he is still on his tomato kick. When I get to Aldi's next I will see if the grape or cherry tomatoes (not sure what they are called) are low enough in cost to buy some for him to try with ranch dressing.

@LadyDuck I have never used a hair dryer on my hair. I assume it would make my curls really frizzy. But it does take forever to dry.

Sorry about your curtains. Ours have to be dry cleaned, so I keep watch of Doodles when he's in certain rooms. I hope the caulking helps. It's such a waste of heat when the air gets in or out on such cold days. I had my long hair chopped off after our first year in Florida and like it so much more.

I never buy anything that needs special care as I refuse to iron anything or take it to the dry cleaner. I wouldn't have bought these curtains if I knew they would fall apart so darn easy. I painted the wood yesterday and another coat today. I really look forward to spring to caulk around the glass. These windows are likely original to the house and they do not keep the cold out well at all. They get ice on the inside of them and that tells me how worthless they are. The same age window but half the size they quoted me $1000 to fix. So getting this big one replaced would be a very large cost.

@DianneN the extra high cost for me is because of the paint being so old. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 40 outside which means I can call around the inside of the window since it's done being painted now

@shaggin Glad you already painted the wood. One less thing to worry about. Windows are extremely expensive to replace. We replaced all of ours so they'd be more energy efficient. That was years ago, and I'm sure the prices have gone up tremendously since then.

@just4him! They were way off! We only got 9 inches. It rained in the middle of it so the bottom two inches of snow was a very heavy slush. It made shoveling really hard. Thankfully my dad plowed my driveway. Today it was -1° with a wind chill that felt like -24° according to AccuWeather. I saw 4 posts with people whose pipes froze. One lady rolled her car 4 times and broke her hip and back. She is recovering from cancer and it seems everytime things start looking up things go bad soon after

@Shiva49 we only got 9 inches of snow but it rained halfway through so the bottom two inches was a very heavy slush to shovel. The it all froze up so it's slippery ice everywhere. The past two days have been below zero so my furnace quit working this morning. It's supposed to be 40°F tomorrow though so that is good!

@nela13 yes I lay on it and it hurts so then I move it and it falls off the side of the bed. It gets on my face etc. Swimming with long hair is worse it wraps around my armpits etc. Good thing I never go swimming anymore.

@FayeHazel I love making new recipes. I made a new one last night for baked spaghetti. It was only okay. I hate spaghetti and it was better then that but nothing I want to make again. I didn’t get time yet to see the curtain but I did put up another identical one in the window now that the windowsill is painted. Hopefully soon it’ll be warm enough to caulk around the glass.

@Nevena83 thank you. Right now it's not snowing much in my opinion. By tomorrow morning we are supposed to get 12-18 inches according to the AccuWeather app. It seems no one is predicting anything correct with this storm so I'll just stay home and we get whatever we get.

@Nevena83 I used to love it so much as a kid. I would play out there for hours. As an adult I hate it more every year! We got a large amount and it is still snowing. It is so slushy and heavy that it was really hard just to do my sidewalk. I dread doing the driveway since it is so long. It is to heavy for my dad's little plow on his tractor to do it. It very well may take me two days to shovel it all . It's good exercise at least.

I'm slowly getting around to catching up here and the first thing that hit me was wow....you cut your hair!!! As others have said, I would love to see a picture too but my questions is...do you put it up every day in a ponytail or bun or do you leave it long and free? My grandsons are all into playing that Fortnite too so I'm sure your son was happy with his toy. Even though this is days later, hope you didn't get too much snow and they were wrong with the predictions.

@Marilynda1225 I leave it down. All summer I pulled it back in tiny little elastic bands and it broke so much of my hair that I have so much hairs sticking up all over on the top of my head. I will never make that mistake again.
