It's makes safety sense to alter plans due to bad weather.

Yes, if I can avoid it. The movies can wait.

@db20747 Horrible weather increases accidents and one needs to be extra careful and it is better if one stays in a safe place.

I have cancelled my plans a couple of times, but I only do it if the weather is extremely bad. If it is dangerous drive I cancel my plans, I don't want to take that kind of risk. We could get stuck in the snow or get into an accident.

@db20747 Yes, I have tried that once. We didn't cancel our plans and there was an accident. We didn't get hurt, but it was expensive to get the car repaired.

@db20747 we might go to an afternoon movie in a blizzard. Depends how easy it would be to reschedule with people we are meeting. Of it was just us going out we would probably not go.
Depends on the severity of the blizzard. If the visibility is 0, we won't.

One reason I cancel my plans to visit my doctor on bad weather is that the local weather person says unless you have to travel on the road in this bad weather, stay home.

@db20747 Better safe than sorry since I live close to the clinic while the medical staff live miles away from the clinic.

I would also cancel if the weather was that bad.
Its common sense to me really as its very bad weather here storms and snow coming again.

They would have to understand it whoever they are.
You cannot go out in that kind of weather unless you had to go to work say and that would be pushing it.

Depends on the bad weather. I didn’t go to work today because of freezing rain. Schools have been let out early and businesses closed because of “PDS” (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watches (gee, wonder what our governor thought of that...). Usually I won’t cancel plans unless it’s more “promise” of severe weather than “threat.”

If its really bad like that, then yeah I would. But we don't usually get it like that anymore.

I will. Mostly due to snow or a real bad downpour. I don't like driving on snow covered roads or when the visibility is bad. The other factor I consider is the type of appointment. Dental I may brave the conditions because of its importance, but a haircut can always be put off till a nicer day.

Generally, my plans are cancelled for me, when the weather is bad.

That would depend on how bad the weather was. The only time I've had to cancel for snow was a trekking trip I was going to go on with my son but heavy snow changed our mind
