I was BLOCKED. "How do I FEEL?"

Honestly, I don't mind at all. We are all adults here. It is a fact and it cannot be denied this concern. Personally speaking, it is a childish act for not handling what runs to people's minds. The bottom line is that we are entitled to give our own perceptions to certain topics. It is not healthy to sugar coat the statements just to make someone feels good with himself or herself.
Moreover, I am not creating any statements that could create fire here. It is just my personal feeling about blocking someone. It needs to be open-minded in giving or receiving opinionated statements. I am pretty sure it is not accidentally done.
P.S. I know it is easy to do it, but think before clicking the BLOCK button.
"How do you feel if being blocked?"
"What do you think about this concern?"

some blocks are accidental and the blocker is not even aware of it.

@hereandthere I am open to accidentally done. Let us see if this mylotter will notice it. @Bonbonsa03 It is acceptable if this mylotter is a newbie. Unfortunately, this person is an oldie here.

@Shavkat you can ask someone to send the blocker a PM to verify if it's intentional.

Yesssss I can agree with you, because when I first started to use MyLot I had no idea how exactly to send a message to someone and I did a lot of stupid things, but we are learning from our mistakes so yea.

Welcome to the club. Its one thing to be blocked for being a troll or disrespectful and other for being blocked for standing up for what you believe in. Wish people would learn the difference. All I can say if someone blocked you because you stood up for what you believe in and it does not match what they believe in. Snowflake. Their right but we can still call them out.

I do think that this mylotter is not open to being disagreed on. It varies from one person to another about this concern. I am like you who express oneself based on what I believe in. As a matter of fact, I am not created to be a clown to make everybody feel good with their own approval. If I do, I am just cheating myself.

@Shavkat Yeah I run into those all the time, no negotiation, just my way. Best maybe they did block you. Its a waste of time and if they did not can just show them in long run how you think and sometimes that works. People come around a bit in a more rational way and best part is they no where you stand and you where they stand. Its hard to screw someone over wen that happens as the boundaries have been drawn so even though you disagree you trust each other.

That used to bother me but now I have become wiser to ignore them and also delete responses and comments that hurt We have those options here luckily.

@Shavkat There is one particular individual who only comes to my discussions to veto whatever I am saying. Never bothers otherwise. They get on my nerves.

@allknowing I think they need to adjust, too. All of us have our own personas. It is not also good to keep on having 'Amen' to them.

I am with you with this sentiment. Before, I was quite feeling in rage. But then, I console myself why should I entertain with this concern. I don't need stress and we can delete some comments that are not appropriate with certain topics. For me, blocking is not an option. Besides, we have this option to delete mylotter's comments.

I think that I am blocked only by two members here, one because I posted a link showing that he was plagiarizing, the other after having exchanged only 2 or 3 comments. It was surprising. And this last one tried one day to comment on my responses, thinking that I would not be able to comment back. I just said that I was not commenting back to blockers. It never happened again. I do not care about these blocks.

@topffer I haven't come across any plagurized things but I have found some that were nearly word for work from other sites with a fee word changes. When I reported it they said it was a rehash not plagurism. I guess I don't know what it is then to plagurize something so I won't report any more I see. I feel if someone gets their information they share here from another site they should credit where they found it.

At first, when I was still a newbie, I was always in the moment of whining about being blocked. Then, I came to realize that there is nothing wrong with giving opinions on any topics. For the reason that there is nothing wrong or right in doing it.
For spammers, I don't usually comment back, especially if the member is patronizing in anyways. I can sense it if they do.

I was hurt when I saw that i was blcoked by one of those from other countries. However, i let it be. People have different opinions so you cannot tell them to agree with you. She wasn't one of my close frienda here anyway.
BUT, when I was blocked the second time i get the help of a friend here to message her. Thus, i came to know that I was accidentally blocked because she is after all one of my best friends here. She unblocked.me immediately.

I hope I can have the guts to ask someone for help. In terms of asking for any reasons why this mylotter blocked me. I still have my own pride in this sense of thinking. I was blocked with the oldies here before. I don't want to ask if why they did it. For me, I am not doing anything wrong. I tried my best to be polite and honest in giving my opinions here. Don't be worried. I don't mind, my friend.

There are so many things to think about than entertaining a person who had blocked me. As for me, I didn't do anything and it is not wrong to give personal opinions on certain topics here. I am with you on this. Why I should be worried if being blocked? I never dared to ask who had blocked me. I don't mind in the first place.

I have been blocked by mistake, but I don't think that anyone has blocked me on purpose. If they have I don't know about it. I think it would depend who the person is. If the person is someone I have only talked to a few times it wouldn't bother me. If I used to have a lot of interaction with that person I would be curious why they blocked me.

@Shavkat If it was someone that I had interacted with for a long time it would also affect me more especially if I felt that we had good conversations in the past. On the other hand it is their loss, because they will no longer earn from your responses.

Unfortunately, I had interacted with this mylotter for a long time here. This is what makes me feel bad about it. But then, I don't need to dwell with such a concern. It is simply a waste of time for me to entertain it. I think it is my way to deal with this.

I agree. I don't feel worried. There are sensible mylotters that can be commented to their topics and make friends with them virtually. I think there are some mylotters who had blocked me aside this member before. Most of them are oldies here. The sad part they don't inform me why.

I don't need to block if it is me because I joined here to work and must have connections to follow and work together as a team so why block for if you don't like just don't react simple as that. But this is a flat form and a working site so I don't think you need to do that unless if you are harassed.

Sometimes it can be an accident, especially when using a cell phone like I do to be here.
Other times it's done on purpose because someone got offended.
I don't worry about being blocked. God loves everyone and I do the same, and I know I try hard to treat others as I want to be treated.

With this age of mine, I tried not to offend others virtually or not. I tried to make my responses as mature as possible. I am not that sensitive enough to be blocked, too. I always take these things positively, either in a bad or good situation.

It is normal to be blocked sometimes. It is just mean that we cannot please everybody. When I had my first blocked from a mylotter. I was really hurt because I didn't say things to harm him or her. I convinced myself that they cannot accept the reality of life in the real world.

I also thought about this concern for a couple of times. Some of these mylotters are falling into spammers. Since most of their responses are short one-liner statement. I don't mind if they do block me. As long as I speak my own points of view about certain topics here.

Uhm I don't think so, my friend. This mylotter can speak out one's opinions with full of confidence. It is quite a whiner sometimes. I don't mind because of the innate personality that this mylotter have. I don't drop names since I still respect this person's discretion over this matter. It is this mylotter's free will to do it.

I had accidentally blocked someone while trying to message that person.. if you have a close look you will realize that they are one after the other.. I realized that later and unblocked that person..
Anyways, I think if someone blocks me, it is ok.. it means he/she doesn't want to have a connection with me.. Just like everyone walks on the road but we don't like talking to everyone..
