Do we need to be young to start a discussion here

I am irked by the fact that people think Mylot is filled with moms and dads and grandpas and grandmas.
So what? what if we are moms and dads and grandparents? Don't we discuss reasonable things?
I bet we talk about more sensible things , don't you think so?
All I hear from young people is about games and more games.
Well this isn't a rant. I am just stating facts from a discussion on another site.
What do you think?

@LadyDuck Hmm.. I would go taht far but I agree with most of what you say. I am a mom ,but I have discussion with my 25 year old son all day whenever he is with me. My 18 year old thinks I am cool , sometimes better than his friends.. You've got to know people first i what I would say.

@Clemensau Yes, that is true. My response to the discussion will, not change based on anyone's personal data. It doesn't mean I don't care about the person. just a manner of saying.

So there's a comment on that from other site? Yes and so what's wrong in being old. I guess we have young members here who loves to interact with us oldies.

I’ll talk o anyone pretty much about anything as long as it’s something I can relate to or I’m interested in. I’m a mom but I’m not boring I do things or have done things. I can relate to a lot of things it wasn’t that long as go I was a young adult and teen.

@sofssu yes and if you don’t see something you can always search for something. That’s why tags are important

I don't think it should matter on the age part, if you write something interesting and something I can relate to I will comment.

Mostly here I think you are right only few who are young because if there were many then I can see them passing by.

Older people have a lot to share. And a lot of interesting things. Sometimes more interesting than what younger people have to say.

There is always the generation gap or may I call it the degeneration gap?
Increasingly, I have found the younger generation losing interest in interacting with the old.
No more grey hair, or no hair, denotes wisdom, but it takes all sorts to make a world and we need them all in myLot too! siva

@Shiva49 Agreed the generation gap is there everywhere. But this is a social interaction site and it pays you for starting interesting discussions and get people talking. My point is if you are on this site interact with eveyone regardless of age or status if their discussion is interesting. It is about the discussion not about the age. .

@Swayamsiddha Well some people seem to think that way. Anyhow they are still here to earn.

I think age is not a limitation to start a discussion and keep a lively and interesting conversation. A fluid conversation and beneficial interaction can be established between people of any age, both in real life and in virtual relationships. Particularly I think I can talk to anyone regardless of their age, be it a child, a teenager or a person of the third or fourth age.

I think the age is not a limitation. There are younger people who have expressed consistent opinions that have really impressed me . By the other hand we need the participation of everybody to learn and enjoy.

@Clemensau Why do we even worry about the age, its the discussions e are concerned with, here on Mylot. Variety is what makes this site a place to come to day after day.

@sofssu I dont really care about age, you know? the fact is to keep a conversation "alive", so the best we interact the best we have fun.....and of course we earn more
