good morning mylot, I hope you're having a good day so far.
taking care of oneself is very important. if we don't take time to relax after stressful situations we will burn ourselves out. and the great thing is there are so many ways to relax. so mylotters, how do YOU practice self-care? do you light a candle, or perhaps read a book to calm down after a long day? take a long bath? do yoga? for me, I wash my face with a nice scented face wash and I draw. drawing is such a great release for me. also doing a Sudoku puzzle is calming for me.
how about you mylot, how do you practice self care after a rough day?

I listen to my body. when I´m tired, I stop. When I´m hungry, I eat. When I´m sleepy, I sleep

aahhh a massage sounds so relaxing right now. I'm not great with meditation, I feel like I always get distracted. do you have any good tips?

On most days, working out, exercising, and focusing on my strength and conditioning help me out. I've also been eating tons of fruits and vegetables this year as part of my 2019 health goals, and as a result I've been feeling great!

@isweartokira Thanks! I'm trying! Sometimes it's hard to break bad habits, but once you get into the groove with a new habit (eating fruit instead of junk food), it becomes much easier. I have a little fridge in my office at work, and I've loaded it up with apples, oranges, and grapes, and that way I'll have something healthy to grab when I get hungry throughout the day.

I listen to relaxing music. I also write my thoughts in a journal. Even if we are already in the digital age, I find writing down on paper as still an effective outlet for me.

physically writing things down is a great way to relax. I feel similar with drawing in my sketchbook. it just feels better holding it in your hand rather than on a tablet.

I used to do yoga. I color in a coloring book and read a book.

I enjoy doing a face mask and laying down with my book, but also I find that going for a run in the morning to start my day helps me ease my anxieties and gives me a bit of motivation to get going.
