This time i felt the quake since the epicenter was much nearer where we are. We just finish lunch and went back to our hotel room when we felt slight shaking of the bed. I also saw the lampshade was shaking. We were waiting for the trembling to stop and was supposed to plan to pack up and leave the place immediately but the tremors stopped. We looked outside and there were no panic we decided to stay we will have a flight this evening back to Manila.

@rsa101 some flights at Clark yesterday were even cancelled. I hope you they can fix the flights now. I know the feeling of being stranded in the airport it's very inconvenient, and it's night time when you are supposed to be in bed.

The first earthquake reported casualties and property damages. The second earthquake created damages to building but thanks God there were no reported casualties.

Did not hear much of this one in Bataan. Was it yesterday morning? News focused on what happened in Porac. Nice to see you here Eileen, I hope you are all safe.

Us, in Legazpi City has a mild earthquake also last Thursday. I just stayed in my seat , and hushed the officemate who became distraught of it and seems panicky already.
What about you, did you also experienced earthquake or aftershock, after the fatal earthquake that hit other places?

We really felt the one yesterday cause the epicenter was in Luzon nearer to us in Metro Manila, it was also deadlier and with a lot of casualties compared to the one today in the Visayas, Southern Philippines.

It was really scary to feel that, I can relate to it when I experienced that one which happened in the 90's as I was in Manila that time. Keep safe as there might still be aftershocks.

Our country is nestled right smack in the middle of the ring of fire. What our government should do is to manage risks and damages to properties. While we have no control over the recurrence of tremors, we can definitely reduce the risks by being prepared. Our preparation for typhonHayan (Yolanda) was lousy, to say the least.

That is really the sad reality. Even if there is a Disaster Risk Management Team in every locality there are shortfalls in the implementation. Preparedness of the Government Agencies is still questionable.

Very strong magnitude and hope no harm has come to anyone.
Over here we are on a faultline but the tremors don´t usually get above 4.7 something but you can feel them yes indeed.
Again hope there are no more for you its very scary when it happens have been there and felt it.

There were casualties in the first quake and damages to properties. The 2 quakes are not related because these areas are very far from each other separated by an ocean. There was no reported casualty in the second quake.
