Do you have a love / hate relationship with the rain?

I don't like rain, I don't like the gray days and I don't like getting in the car with a wet umbrella. I really do not like it!
I like sunshine, beautiful days, warmth, the sound of birds, the sound of crickets, the smell of flowers ... I like long days and walks on the beach. I like spring and I like summer!
But I'm happy when it rains.
Concerns about the environment and lack of water overlap, in large part, with my feelings. Here the rational part speaks louder than the emotions and I end up wanting rain, lots of rain!
As you have understood we are having rain here today.

Absolutely. We have so much of it over here but I know we need it. I can't complain though as we have had a good summer generally even if it is a bit wet at the moment.

@nela13 It's still pouring over here at the moment. My friend and I had a shopping date but have put it off until tomorrow as the forecast looks better.

Very rarely I have snow here, it can create beautiful scenarios but it can be very annoying too.

Yes, I have a love/hate relationship with rain. I love hearing the rain on my windows. I like sleeping to the sound of it. I even like to be outside in a thunderstorm when it's been really hot out!
I don't like to get soaked, though. I didn't like it yesterday when it suddenly tipped it down and I needed to walk home with shopping!

@nela13 Our family refer to the 'Davis gene'. That's a family name and many of us naturally get tired/fall asleep to rain and thunder. We usually know if it's going to rain before it does because we'll suddenly start feeling tired for no apparent reason.

I love it when it is raining in hot weather, it brings relief. But too much of it will bring floods in our place. And hopefully it won't rain during working hours as it will be hard for us to go home.

@nela13 yes. Rain brings in relief, but problems all the same. Once I forgot my umbrella, and I got free shower.

I share the similar kind of love hate relationship with rain. We get a lot of rain in our place and so at one point we get bored of it. But I love it when it comes on a hot day and brings some relief.

@nela13 Much. I do not remember so much rain that it was almost. We have floods all over the country. And now another problem has appeared - mosquitoes! There are millions of them!

I use to like rain and dark skies I feel more relax but I don't like it for too long as it makes me feel depress. I miss the sun and sunny days make my mood happy too

Yes, I also like rain for 2-3 days, more than that and I get tired of it.
