Breakfast for Dinner

I have talked a few times about having breakfast for dinner. Tonight is one of those nights. It has been overcast all afternoon. Not too hot finally. Did not have a big appetite, but I can always eat breakfast.
Just made a pot of grits with cheese and of course butter. I will make biscuits and dinner will be served. Sometimes I will fry a couple of eggs but not tonight. Just grits, bacon and biscuits. That is plenty for dinner.
I baked the bacon. Instead of frying so much, I sometimes put a pan of bacon in the oven. You place it on paper towels when it is done. It is so good crumbled up into the grits.
Any dinner plans? Do you like breakfast for dinner?
I know some of you have never had grits. Some may not know how to cook them.

In a lot of countries, people don't really make any differentiation. For example in Japan it's common to have salad for breakfast. A traditional Japanese breakfast is rice, fish, miso soup and pickles and maybe a raw egg poured over the rice with soy sauce. That can also be lunch or dinner.
Me, as I get older I eat my main meal at lunch with my colleagues at work, then when I get home I either have leftovers or sometimes breakfast. The other day, for example, I went to my friend's Indian restaurant for lunch and for dinner I had a bowl of cereal.

This is true. My brother and I used to have "midnight breakfasts" complete with eggs and warm beverage. I no longer do this but I have very fond memories of eating sunny side up paired with corned beef and rice.

MrP loves grits. MrsJ not so much. Me? My mouth doesn't open so I can't eat much of anything.

@CarolDM I may be missing out on a few things but I can come up with a quite a few advantages to being a Lego Mini-figure!

I ate grits when we traveled down south. I had a piece of leftover pizza from the company yesterday. If I'm having breakfast for dinner, my choice would likely be blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup.

I recommend you to use quaker and make porridge. I think it is healthier ( try the full quaker ). Corn meal...I don't know much about it...

I like breakfast for dinner and I love grits. I know it is a Southern food. It has to be eaten properly, meaning with salt, pepper and butter (sometimes with crunched up bacon). But, never should it be eaten with sugar or honey. That is such a Northern way to do it. My husband is originally from Pennsylvania and before he came to Georgia, he had never heard of grits. When we went to Pennsylvania to visit his folks, I couldn't find grits at the Grocery. And, because he didn't grow up eating it, he eats it now with honey or syrup. I shake my head when he does that.

I had never had grits until I joined the Army. I really wasn't even quite sure what they were. But I liked them so much that I got them every morning in the mess hall.

@CarolDM - Well, they serve them each morning in every Army chow hall I've ever eaten in, so they've had plenty of practice!

A roommate is on the keto. In the past, I had won 2 boxes of grits at bingo & they have been in the cupboard ignored. I recently showed them to her and you'd have thought I had given her a million dollars. She goes, "And I can have butter!" She has been so so sick of eating eggs for breakfast.

I will eat breakfast for dinner sometimes. It is usually eggs or pancakes. Grits, bacon and biscuits sound just fine.

What are grits? Are they bits of meat? You have a nice dinner, it is nice if there's no carbs with it.
