I was up early and there were ten or dozen kangaroos in the area in front of the house. I had the camera nearby but there was nothing special happening. I did get a photo of a litte joey poking its head out of the pouch but it’s too far away to be very clear.
I got my coffee and sat in the lounge to drink it and an hour later, this doe made her way across the verandah to the other side of the house. If I had moved, she would have hopped away but I stayed very still. It takes very little to scare them and they seem to be able to see us inside the house even if we make no noise.
In other news, Vince has a sore throat and is still in bed at the moment. Luckily he made the five litres of soup that he wants yesterday so he doesn’t have to do that today. He is to take it in to the golf club tomorrow and help in the kitchen as there is a special day on for visiting players.
I didn't crop the photo so you can see how close she is.

@BelleStarr I'd be hoping he was toilet-trained.

You started your day with having unexpected "guests".Those kangaroos seem to be rather wary of human beings.

@changjiangzhibin89 That's true. I guess it is a survival instinct.

aw, how sweet! what a joy to 've those 'round. i reckon now if'n ya feel's though someone 'tis watchin' ya, 'tis most likely a roo, eh?
i'm ne'er sure 'bout critters peerin' 'nto windows - if'n they see their reflection 'n see a 'shadow' 'n think they're fixin' to be attacked 'r if'n they actually see's. i know many birds 've flown right 'nto my windows when the sun's been 't a certain level. went out to check'n all i could see 'twas a reflection 'f my lil sanctuary. perhaps they thought such 'twas real? i'm sure if'n i 'twas not lazy, i could prolly find a study'n such - 't least the birds.
oh no! i so hope that when mr. vince gets'p, that throat 'tis feelin' better. glad he'd made the soup yesterday 'n hope that he feels 'p to takin' such 'n helpin' that 't the club. sendin' healin' hugs!

we'd a robin, many years 'go, that'd smack 'nto one 'f the sunroom windows fer a good 30 minutes e'ery single day. not fer certain if'n he 'twas bein' territorial 'r ?

@crazyhorseladycx When our house was first built, a crow would attack himself in the French doors. He destroyed the flywire and would draw blood bashing at the glass. If we were home, we'd chase him away but if we'd been away, there would be drops of blood on the verandah.
