Funny as it may sound, but I honestly cannot live without this important nutritious vegetable. Can you imagine a kitchen without potato? Me... No. I mean it. Potato is substantial part of my life.It is my best buddy, whenever it comes to kill the hunger, it is a constant companion of my everyday cooking. How can I say "No" to mashed potatoes, roasted one or fried one? I am so loyal to it, that I will never stop eating it, even if scientists will find out some harm of potatoes to our health. Seriously. I am so deeply in love with potato, that I cannot even possibly imagine what a miserable dull life it would be without them. And yeah... my husband keeps calling me "potato girl"Dear friends do you share my passion for potatoes? Or do you have another passion?

I could live without potatoes... temporarily and only if I had lots of rice as a substitute! My favourite type of potato is roast. I have so many meals that include potatoes as they have always been a staple of my diet.

Our dinner for tonight is homemade hamburger plus homemade fries so I bought 3 big potatoes for that for the fries will serve as the filler instead of rice.

i used to eat lots 'f taters, now can purty much 'nly 'njoy 'em mashed 'r put'n soups. my passion? gravy. cream gravy. bein' a southern gal, such's a staple. when i found i'd celiac disease, i got most disappointed tryin' to find a gluten free recipe that worked well. i cannot partake'n rice/flours nor soy either. i finally used potato starch to thicken my gravy 'n such's a huge hit with the family.
now if'n i could find a decent gluten/rice/soy free recipe fer biscuits.... i'd be'n heaven!

I agree with you. In fact this vegetable fits in easily in so many recipes and is definitely a taste enhancer. We have a saying in our country. If a person is good to fit in any situation, we call him as a potato.
" you are like a potato to fit in everywhere"Or " You are omnipresent like potato" Or " You are as important as a potato"

Potatoes are great boost for short hunger pangs. Mashed potatoes are definitely filling. Better a potato girl than tomatoes, ha...
