It is really cold today and I have just seen in the news that it snowed in a city very close to where I live that is why it is so chilly here
I honestly don't remember the last time it snowed here as it is quite rare. It is an exciting moment for my kids and they hope it will snow here during the week.
Snow is beautiful but I don't like it at all.
How is the weather there?

I am very much like you, in that I like snow. So many people here do not like it at all. I get excited whenever I see snow (because I don't get to see it that often).

@moffittjc Yes, because having snow for weeks is surely annoying and very cold for me.

There are a lot of people here in the US that think snow is a bad word! I think snow is exciting, but that's because I don't live in a place where it ever snows! haha

@nela13 How exciting for them! I remember the first time I saw snow, I was a child growing up near Miami in the very southern tip of Florida. The year was 1977, and the weather forecasters were predicting snow in Florida, something that never happens. I remember my dad waking me up early in the morning, just after sunrise, to tell me it was snowing outside. My brother and ran outside with such excitement to see it snowing! It only lasted for about an hour, and the snow melted almost as soon as it hit the ground, but it's an experience I'll never forget. I hope your children have that same once-in-a-lifetime memory if the snow does make it to the area you live in!

@moffittjc what a sweet memory you have. I also have memories from my childhood with snow but nowadays snow is very very rare here. Even if it doesn't snow here we are planning a trip to the snow with them this year.

How far is that city from your place.
Many years back, I used to live in a city some 90 to 100 kms away from a 2200 mt above sea level and good snow bound city.
It used to get 2 to 3 C colder after such snowfalls.

@crazyhorseladycx it seems this sun won't last long, tomorrow we'll have more rain.

Snow seems to be coming early this year. So far we haven't gotten any snow but we might tomorrow and into Wednesday. I love seeing how pretty the ground looks covered in snow but I'm not fond of all that it entails especially the shoveling

There is no need of shoveling here as it rarely last more than one day.

The weather is getting colder in winter and hotter in summer. It may be climate change.
