It snowed near

I am very much like you, in that I like snow. So many people here do not like it at all. I get excited whenever I see snow (because I don't get to see it that often).

My children have never seen real snow, so they are excited about that possibility.

@moffittjc Yes, because having snow for weeks is surely annoying and very cold for me.

@nela13 How exciting for them! I remember the first time I saw snow, I was a child growing up near Miami in the very southern tip of Florida. The year was 1977, and the weather forecasters were predicting snow in Florida, something that never happens. I remember my dad waking me up early in the morning, just after sunrise, to tell me it was snowing outside. My brother and ran outside with such excitement to see it snowing! It only lasted for about an hour, and the snow melted almost as soon as it hit the ground, but it's an experience I'll never forget. I hope your children have that same once-in-a-lifetime memory if the snow does make it to the area you live in!

My children are happy with the snow possibility because they have never seen snow.

@moffittjc what a sweet memory you have. I also have memories from my childhood with snow but nowadays snow is very very rare here. Even if it doesn't snow here we are planning a trip to the snow with them this year.

Yes, here we aren't used to this cold but it is indeed beautiful.

Very chilly here too, snow drops the temperatures a lot.

@LadyDuck today it is better here as we are having some sun and it helps to warm a little.

It is rare here as well but this year it started to snow too soon quite near us.

Here the temperatures were lower than that. Snow always make it feel more cold.

It is only 25 kilometres from us, so it is close.

@nela13 no doubt the ground too warm. which can be seen's a good thingy 'r a bad thingy, dependin' 'pon ones perspective :). glad the sun's returned to yer neck 'f the woods. thankfully such's happened here, too.

they were excited but the snow vanished quickly, it is still chilly but at least it stopped raining and we are having some sun during the day.

@crazyhorseladycx it seems this sun won't last long, tomorrow we'll have more rain.

There is no need of shoveling here as it rarely last more than one day.

Ohhh, will he be put to sleep tomorrow?

The kids are excited because it was near us but so far so good, no snow

It is so cold when it snows, you would get tired of it.

Here it is better today but still very cold. I hope we don't get snow either.

@nela13 We had the wind all day, and tonight the wind stopped and it became warm, as if it were spring.

Only one day or two maximum.

It is a climate change for sure, it is happening in many places.

It seems it is getting colder everywhere.
