Have You Ever Deleted a Response on MyLot?

myLot is a place for us to write discussions. The comments we receive are what makes a discussion interesting and more fun.
However, sometimes I don’t care for a comment. I either ignore it, give it a like, say thank you, or feel as if I have to defend my post.
I have never deleted someone else’s comment on purpose just because I didn’t like what they said.
Have you?

@JohnRoberts I agree. I have reported a few.

If people aren't interested or object to a post, they should just move on and keep their negative opinions to themselves. Serves no purpose to harass someone.

I didn’t even know we had the option to delete someone’s comment. So obviously that shows I have never felt the need to do so! Lol

@DianneN Oh yes, now I see it! Can't believe I've never noticed a "delete" feature there before! I hope I don't get trigger-happy with that delete button now that I know it's there!

I have once or twice. Normally, I just ignore the ones I don't like.

Yes I have because it was someone who blocked ME and they commented on comments my post. They had no right. But he is no longer here so that is all good, no one ever gets verbally abused anymore.
But no I don`t because we are all different and sometimes I learn from others, sometimes a lesson of how to be a better person, sometimes I am not the most sensitive person.

Yikes! Someone cruel has done that to me, too.
I am extremely sensitive, but not a fool who can’t take a comment and feel the need to delete it.
Makes me wonder if they delete because they are wrong and the other person right, or if they are embarrassed due to being not right in the head.

I think the only responses I have deleted were the spam stuff but of course eventually they would disappear anyway. Otherwise I've never deleted comments - good or bad - I mean, I know I can, but I just don't.
Happy New Year, DianneN!! Hope you and your family are doing well. I'll try to get back here .

I can't remember deleting one but I know when I first came here I asked a question and someone was a bit rude saying it had been asked a million times before and I should read the FAQ. It made me feel awkward and I considered deleting her comment.

@DianneN Some people just aren't friendly. I would just ignore a rude comment now as I feel more confident than when I first started here. I'm a very sociable person and don't want to fall out with anyone.

@sprite1950 That’s very mature of you. I feel the same.
I’m here for interacting with my friends, have some laughs, and fun. I definitely don’t want to deal with the types of people I avoid in real life. Life is too short.

I agree that there is absolutely no need to be offensive on here, yet some people just are that way naturally and can’t help themselves. Yes, it’s easy to delete comments if you don’t like what someone says, However, I think that’s terribly rude. I just end it with a like and move on.

@DianneN Totally agree! I'm the same but sometimes I simply won't roll over and just take it. A few years ago when I first joined MyLot, I was driven away by that sort of conduct. I'm glad to see that it seems to have changed for the better :)

I don't think I have deleted any, but would if I felt strongly.

@DianneN I've seen comments on fellow mylotter discussions that I wanted to delete for them. I'm pleased that I mostly encounter lovely people here.

No, I never have deleted a comment. I tend to just ignore and move on.
Great picture of the Ice Princess. She certainly looks like an Olympian

I have never deleted a comment. I have deleted entire outdated posts though and that is just keeping things tidy.

I have deleted comments that were spam. Someone posting their website or whatever and not commenting at all on my discussion.

Only once, because I found that the comment was put in a very rude way.

Nope. This is the first time I heard it, but most of the time I read some of the bloggers report those kind of short comments coz its against the rule.
But I guess it is rude to delete those comments. I hope this will not going to be a culture on this site. God bless.
