Bananas are good combatants for novel coronavirus.

A research in Australia tasked on developing a vaccine has come up with a way to combat the novel coronavirus - eat a banana a day. Won't go into the technicalities because I really am ignorant of this vitamin thing but apparently, it's the fiber in the bananas that can repel the ncov. Have one a day. Bananas are all over the Philippines. We even export to so many countries like Japan.

@Alexandoy Okay, apology accepted. Just be careful of your words all the time. I edited the post and added a link. It was uploaded yesterday from Queensland, Australia. Here is - if you care to check the link.

I take banana every day or on most of the day. Hope this is true. There are so many such things making news amidst this virus scare. This is a safe thing to try out.

It is good to eat bananas but the video seems to be fake news. Do you have a real credible reference?

@eileenleyva Yes, for a long time. I don't know if it works though.

You could substitute "Say Bazonka" with 'Eat Bananas' that would work.

@indexer Nope, the real sick ones, the elderly and those with underlying conditions, would really have to be intubated. The anti-biotics seem to have little effect. The COVID-19 has spread. All the citizens are threatened now. The advisement from Queensland Research is sound. If bananas could help at this point, then the people need to know.

@eileenleyva OK - so bananas improve the immune system, and I am sure that they are not the only foods that can do this. However, that is a long way from saying that they can act as some sort of vaccine for this particular coronavirus. What is needed is a specific antibody, which is currently only being created within the bodies of people already suffering from the disease.

If it's just fiber we're looking for, then surely we can find it in other fruits and vegetable as well. We consume bananas every day for its high potassium content. Now people are hoarding bananas. I walked to the nearby fruit store and found no ripe bananas. I ended up getting green, unripe bananas.

Oh my, hoarding bananas? Gosh, how can they, when the bananas over ripe, not good for consumption any longer. Sigh, this hoarding mentality. Okay, wrap the green ones with newspaper. Tomorrow, you can eat one already. That was brave of you to go out.

@eileenleyva I understand that people can be desperate. I'm just glad that there doesn't seem to be a wave of panic here. People do stay indoors but we go out when we need to get provisions. Temps are checked at the grocery and we sanitize often and wear a mask. I wasn't afraid to go for a walk because it's already like ghost town here in our village. The next person you'll see is about maybe 8 meters away? Thanks for the newspaper wrapping tip, by the way. I'll do that. :)

@almostoveryou You are very understanding of people. That's a remarkable character trait. Good the people have heeded the call for isolation. It's best we obey the advisement of the health practitioners. All we need now is to pray for mercy that this pandemic ends. Keep safe always.

I think it is a good idea to practice healthy habits anytime. Foods which are good for us certainly will not hurt to build up our immune system that's for sure. Lets face facts. This virus isn't a killer for everyone. Even things like chewing our food properly and keeping stress free might help our immune system somewhat?

Someone sent me this link too but the Department of Health said that there is no proof yet. But since social medial has this great impact, people panic and instantly hoard bananas! Yesterday, I passed at the nearby banana stall; lo and behold, it is so clean and even unripe bananas were sold out!
