It's a good thing to get the children interested in gardening. Many schools here now have vegetable gardens that the children help tend. Of course, our climate is perhaps more conducive to that than yours.

I think the weather over there is definitely better than here and it's hard to decide what we can plant that will grow right but I'm sure we will figure it out :-) hope you and your family are well

More conducive? I thought Oz was 90% desert? Great for Cacti and other such succulents, but food? Hmmm. I bet Lou's lettuce will be fab this year.

@lgm92881719 Thanks for your concern. We're very lucky here really. All is good at the moment.

@lgm92881719 It certainly helps getting out in the garden. I have potatoes planted and I'm getting the place generally tidied up but the rain has just come on. Take care.

Hi Lou Sounds like you had a tree-mendous day with the kids. I too spent time in the garden and got a bit of sunburn. Can you believe that? In March? Cooler today so I have done a bit more and ditched the hat. Snow forecast for the weekend, so I am going to polish my sledge in readiness. And an extra special BIG HUG to you

@lgm92881719 I am from the frozen northeast of England. Is that north of you? We've still got the occasional polar bear running past with icicles hanging off its nose, so it's still cold. Looks like you're too busy to frequent this place now. I am going to have to stalk someone else.
