What are you doing to get thru this crisis?

I have been enjoying my days as my husband is working everyday and I am doing a lot of yard work and getting my plants ready for the summer. I live in a gated community and I would say more than half of the people live here in the winter and live up north in the summer. It has been very hot some days here in Florida but I go in every so often or water my plants in the garden and accidentally get wet. . The other day I went through my plant catalogs and called a small order in. I don't know when I will be able to go shopping for plants in the near future. I have also been cleaning up all the leaves that fell off the trees and took care of some of the wilting plants. Some days are so hot I stay in the house in the air conditioning. I also propagate some of the plants I want to put in new areas. My neighbor lets me take cuttings of anything I want. My house is so clean I keep looking for things to do. I have also been calling a lot of my friends that live up north and catch up on the things in our lives. I try to stay off the computer until everything is done as once I get on here, I start playing games or start writing. I am sure if you look around your home you will find some things that could use a little TLC.

It is so funny as I keep looking for big projects to do that I don't usually like to do. I am running out of things to do.

i think everyone thinks that way to. My son works for MLB, Major League Baseball and he can't wait to get back to. He hates just sitting around. I am sure there are many sports fans that can't wait to get all the games back.

That is one thing I am trying to get on more. I lost a couple of months for one reason or another. Now that I am almost finished in the house I really don't like going outside as it is so hot. I am not ready for the heat yet but can't wait to get some more plants.

@LadyDuck We have hit some days already in the 90's and very humid. I am not looking forward to a lot of days like that. I usually go outside in the morning and get in the house around noon.

Oh, I know that but some of them I really don't want to get involved with. Yesterday I took apart a shelf unit and washed all the glasses that were in it and put them back. There about 100 glasses there. It does look nice though so I am happy. I started outside in the yard but then when it got very hot I went inside.

@JudyEv I should really get rid of some of them as some I have never used but when people give me things I do not want to get rid of them. They do look nice and sparkly though.

@ramapo17 Wow, 100 glasses is a lot but hopefully you won't need to do them again for a while.

I could find a lot of things to do if I was keen to search for them but I have decided to have some rest this Easter. Happy Easter to you and your family.

I keep busy doing things I like and the days go very fast. I am also doing a lot of reflection on how this virus fits in with what the Bible says about the 'last days'.

@kanuck1 You are right. I am from a family with many ministers and women that are very involved in the church. Little by little the older ones are passing away and I guess I will be one of the ones where the younger family members will go to. At one point I had 3 men that were ministers and many women that were very involved. My grandmother actually founded a church in New Jersey and it is still there plus a second one was built in the next town over.

That is exactly what I am doing. I even pulled some closets apart and reorganized them. This won't happen again until next spring.

@wolfgirl569 I really made a bad decision holding off on ordering. I just went online and many of the ones I picked out before are sold out. I will just have to look around for more places.

I have done some of that also but I have to get some plants from my catalog, things I can't buy around here. It was so hot a few days so I stayed in and did things around the house.

I have been feeding my birds in the yard and enjoying watching the different kinds come to the feeder. I've also been working on my garden planting tomatoes and I'm trying out lettuce this year. I bet it must be really tiring working in that heat! Hope you remember to use sunscreen, lol.

I don't go out anywhere there are people. The only people I talk to in person my neighbors on both sides of us and we don't get near each other.
