Has the Corona Virus changed your sleeping patterns?

Before this thing hit I would generally stay up until about 11 PM. I would work, play music with friends, write a bit, and then "crash" at 11PM or so.
But since I've had to stay home most of the day and share new "licks" over the phone, I've been "crashing" at 8:30 PM, waking up at 4:30 AM.
I'll then think about this and that, try to find the most comfortable sleeping position, and engage in light (REM) sleep until maybe 9 AM.
The cool thing is that I can remember my dreams, and lie there an analyze them untlil I stumble out of bed.
The bad thing is that I feel like I've had an "odd" night of sleep.
Has the virus affected your sleep patterns? Once work re-commences I hope to get back to crashing at 10PM, waking at 7AM, and getting on with my business.

My sleep patterns are all over the F-ing place, and it really sucks. Before I got sick with the virus, I was somewhat keeping a routine schedule. But once I got sick, all bets were out the window. I've just been sleeping whenever the hell I feel like it, which lately has been pretty much 12-14 hours a day. In fact, I just woke up about an hour ago (at 4pm my time). Now I feel all groggy. Will probably myLot for a little while and then go back to bed. This is what my pathetic life has become.

@moffittjc — oh, Jeff, I’m so sorry to hear this! I’ve heard people say that it’s the worst they’ve ever had (Christopher Cross said he’s never had an illness that bad, and others have said they’d prefer getting hit by a Mack truck). I pray you get to feeling better.

@TheHorse I haven't really posted about it. People got enough bad news in their lives already. I don't need to add more misery to the cause! I just got my test results back yesterday, but I'm on day 14 of having the virus. Nothing like dragging your feet on getting answers! haha Luckily, i've only had moderate symptoms, so all things considered I'm not doing too bad at all. The worst for me has been the fatigue. I am literally sleeping my entire days away because I don't have the strength to do anything else.

My naps are a lot longer now and depend on how boring the TV is. If I am interested, I don´t get sleepy except at my usual hours.

@marguicha Heh. I really don't watch much TV. Especially now that there's no sports.

That's pretty much my schedule these days when I'm working. Heh. Thanks--I found the typo this morning. For shame! I can see our German friend rolling her eyes at me even as I type. Hey, I didn't notice that! Corna as a horn or antlers. I looked up "corna copia" (we say "horn of plenty") and found out it's actually spelled "cornucopia"...Now you've got me started on an etymological journey. I clearly have too much time on my hands.

No. I`m a housewife and I really don`t usually go out. I sleep the same time as always around 10 or 11pm it depends on if I feel sleepy.

My sleep pattern has changed but its more because I am working from home now and there is no fixed time of working anymore. So often some urgent work comes up at night and I am sitting at my laptop till 2 and 3 in the morning. And then have to wake up at 6. When I was going regularly to the office I hardly had to see to my office work while I was at home.

My sleep doesn't have a pattern ever since. It's always different every few days.

@TheHorse Yes it is. As always. But this pandemic causes anxiety as well.

Nope, I keep pretty much to the same hours. I have my cell phone ring at 8 AM and then if I have pending writing jobs I get up and work till about noon then take a break and after work through the afternoon.

Now that this migraine medicine is helping me sleep, I do go to bed a little later. Used to be 11 to 7, now more like 12 or 1 to 8 or 9.

Yes, it has. I now get up at 7 am onstead of the usual 4 am. That's a huge difference. I hope you sleep well.
