Virtual Museum Tours

United Kingdom

I was reading online something about museums being shut for the time being and somebody was saying about virtual museum tours. I am now thinking about trying a virtual museum tour but it sounds like it might be quite complicated to do. Have any of you tried a virtual museum tour, and if you did, was it any good?

I would not be interested in virtual tours of anything.

@lazydaizee I want to see the Mona Lisa up close and personal. Why bother with a virtual tour when I can open a book and look at pictures. Virtual is not living real life and really experiencing and doing.

@JohnRoberts I would rather read books too, anything done online gives me a headache if I stay on there too long especially if images keep moving about and lights keep flashing.

I'm sure it's just like watching a documentary. It shouldn't be complicated at all.

It does sound like something that would be fun and interesting to do, perhaps it would be educational too.

I haven't gone on one but it sounds interesting. I think museums and zoos and other public educational places are trying new ideas now.

They probably want to keep people interested while nobody is going out.

It's possible on using some virtual reality softwares and products but very costly.. In my opinion it not full fill our feeling which I feel in museums but it is good alternative choice only..
