Our workshop - before and after

Recently, I wrote several discussions about our workshop and some of the items we found while we’ve been clearing it out. Yesterday, in a pile of haybale string, I found the remains of a baby ringtail possum but I won’t put up a photo of it. lol
We have a little bit more to do but it won’t be anything noticeable so I made a collage of ‘before’ and ‘after’. At least we can get in the door a bit easier now and all the nails, screws, nuts and bolts have been reorganised and sorted. Now we need a new project.

An orderly place saves lot of space and also you save time in finding tools instead of searching them when they are lying here and there.

@jayanth_77 I checked out 5S. It sounds a really good system.

@JudyEv it's called 5S. It's a Japanese concept of self maintainance practised in offices and factories all over the world.

Seems like you are all done with organizing or at least done with majority of it. I am sure a new project is on it's way very soon.

@arunima25 Yes, that is very true. When my house is untidy, it interferes with my thinking.

@JudyEv You have enough room to work and having it tidy helps you stay organized in mind too.

Nice workshop you have there. I have no skills in crafts like carpentry so the best thing I could do is to hire someone.

@JudyEv yes, from the looks of your workshop, you can do almost any woodwork.

@Alexandoy We also have two welders so metalwork isn't out of the question either.

You and Vince definitely made some good progress. It looks much cleaner now. And don't worry, as busy and active as you two are, it won't be long before a new project comes up.

@JudyEv Is it cold enough that you can make that burning pile of rubbish a nice little campfire/bonfire for you two to sit around?

@moffittjc The piles were a bit big to try to sit near. We lit them in the morning as the wind sometimes gets up a bit in the afternoons. That way they burn away and are safe to leave at night. Here's me pretending I need to warm my hands.

Now you have more space to move around freely.
