Polite child with mask / myLot

I love to see children randomly being polite to strangers. I was just riding my bike back from the store, when I (masked) approached three boys, probably about ten years old, who were obviously friends. One of them had his mask down. As my bicycle and I approached him, he put his mask back on! Observant. Polite. That's what I like to see, in anyone, but in children especially, because if they learn it young they will be more likely to keep it.

I think it's more expected here. Even teenage boys will bow politely and apologize if they got in your way while they were wildly riding their bikes down the street (that happens too).

It's sad that children have to do this now with masks, but that's the way it is for now. This child has paid attention to what his parents have told him and realizes how serious it is.

I think most children are pretty cooperative if they understand danger. My 4-year-old granddaughter has to wear a mask at school except for lunch and outdoor recess.
