This morning, I am having a little debate with my little niece. She does not want to review her math lessons. My main goal is to let her know the importance of it. She is whining and at last, I was able to convince her. Do you think math is good for children? Image Credit: whatsdog.org

Math is important in everyday life - shopping, bills, recipes, foreign currency when we travel etc. It also saves us from some embarrassing situations. If we are able to calculate how much our grocecies cost we know if we have enough money, and we don't have to stand in the checkout line with an empty wallet

@Shavkat Yes, basic maths skills are important. When I was a child we didn't have cell phones with calculators. Now we have many useful apps, but I am still happy that I learned maths.

I agree. It is not to be embarrassed if we overestimate having money in our pockets. It is really important to know these math principles in life.

Maths is an important subject. I know it is also a difficult subject, but it is useful. In the long term, it can practice your brain how to think and solve the problems. It is not only counting.

That's also a problem. She does not know how to use paper money and coins. It is because she was not trained to hold or keep the money. Now, I need to introduce her to the value of money.

As far as i know, math is the basic law of all that happening in this world. So by learning it, we can using it in daily life. But if it too hard, then just learn the basic math, is already enough

you need math to life. Try and make it fun I hated learning math until I found math games then it was easy to learn plus if it is fun it will create a reward mechanism saying that learning math is good/fun
