Can we talk about school for a minute ?

When I was at high school I questioned the existence of so many school subjects and the nonexistence of others like art classes, sex education classes, and many others.. Now when I'm at this age, I can't point out a hobby that I excel at.. While in other countries people can turn their hobbies into jobs and they'll never get tired of it.
What about you? Would you rather work at something you love or separate between your hobby and professional career? Or what are the things that you wish they existed when you were at school?

It'd be great to work at something I love.
I wish we had classes about interior design and writing, although there were subjects such as animal husbandry, Garment making and catering and crafts while I was in secondary school

@Vicky32 I was in a science class so I guess that's why I didn't get the chance

@Kaleidoscop same here but you can say that being a scientific student didn't buy you a ticket out of literature's class here

I was not happy at school. I felt much better with the freedom I had at the university.

My dream job was to work in the field of mathematics. However I like writing good news stories.

I was at school in the 1970s and this was before the internet. I wish I had been able to learn about computers at school, but we did not have them then like they do now.

I never liked school education because most of the subjects I didn't like and never will use in my life. In Japan and China small kids are monitored for their talent and once identified their are coached on that particular skill. So when the kids grow up they Excell in it because they love doing it.

It is very difficult to become a professional gamer... I guess you could get on youtube by doing walkthroughs and maybe monetise that way

What's your hobby? And it's still good to enjoy your hobby and working at the same time

My job is what used to be my hobby-- teaching and performing music. I have not had things people would call hobbies, but right now my obsession is volcanology and other geology. I guess studying deeply whatever interests me is my hobby. I love music but doing it "for fun" on the weekends is not something I want to do very much.

HI, Welcome here. I was happy with my school and I think those are beautiful days. And as you say some other subject. yes, some other subjects can be added but everyone has a different choice and all can't be added to the school, So you can opt for your fav subjects separately.

I didn't like the less sports activity at school because it's very important.
