Teachers have a uniform? That's interesting. In Japanese schools where students wear uniforms, which is most MS and HS schools, and private elementary schools, teachers wear whatever they want. Many of them even wear trainers (sweatpants) because they are out on the field supervising kids sometimes. They also (everyone) wear indoor shoes or slippers.

As your discussion does not state what type of work you do, I am confident that there is a good reason for you to wear an uniform at work. Though it is a shame that your uniform is hot to wear, that is not ideal and maybe something your employer should look into?

I think the uniform makes you look more professional. But you need to deal with the warm weather.
