We are having guests arrive tomorrow (Friday) and they are staying two nights. They used to live nearby but have now moved to the city to be nearer their grandchildren.
On Saturday, we’re going to an afternoon concert in a small, decommissioned church. We have made a chicken and mushroom casserole so we will only have to cook rice and green beans when we get home.
For dessert, we’ve made a bird’s nest pudding. This was inspired by DKM (@Corbin5). It was quite an involved recipe and took most of the afternoon to cook but doesn’t it look scrumptious? I think there might be leftovers too which would be nice.

Haha. I'm not sure it's a really good name for it. You can have birds nest soup at Chinese restaurants here.

@piyushbhatia1 I love Chinese food but here it's sort of 'westernised' Chinese.

I am trying from yesterday to reply to your following comment on the post "No Mail from Ireland)
"Thanks for the good wishes. It's a shame but in the big picture, it isn't a big deal. He tried to send it and I've seen it so all is well."
I can only read the post if I am not logged in, that should confirm that some accounts have problems because they are stored in BAD servers
I hope you can get your Birthday card.

@JudyEv I've had Pink Ladies before. They are delicious. Macintosh apples are very common here.

I've never heard of birds nest pudding but I have heard of birds nest soup, which I believe is made from actual birds nests.
