No money, get sick, die lonely and alone.

So grim and sad. Just some of the things one might fear when you get old. That is why in our younger years, we work hard to earn and save money for the future, we long to have a family of our own, a wife/husband or someone to grow old with and pray that we may not suffer in sickness and be a burden to someone. There are so many fears but it is a reality one must surrender with acceptance, bravery and faith as inevitable as growing old itself. Can someone be all that prepared for the future? There is always the uncertainty of what lies ahead.

No matter how much we plan, there is all the time the possibility that something unplanned happens.

Yes, not everything is in our control. There are things beyond one's control that we can't do much about even if we prepared for it.

There's no escaping the reality of old age if we are blessed to live up to that age.

A bitter truth. Everybody should be conscious of the fact that you could be helpless in your old age. Although money is not everything even in this case, it will be of some help to manage yourself. Lesson is save for the old age.

you can be prepared financially, but what if your family is far away? or they are with you but they only do the basics or worse, waste your money?

Hence, I said above "Can someone be all that prepared for the future?" And you know the answer to that. No matter how you prepare there are some things left to fate. There really is no preparing for the future, only some which you have control over.

It may not happen, it may happen too. It is not true for all but true for most people.

@pitsipeahie well, the best solution to that is plan for the worst so that everything will be alright.

True. As much as there are things beyond our control, at least we can act on something that we have control over like saving money for one's future.

True, there is no assurance or guarantee. Even family can send you somewhere when you become a burden in the future. We never know.

Being old is a necessity, being born, being a child, being an adult, having a family and getting old are the flow of life that we should be grateful for. Flowers do not always bud, there will be when they bloom and then fall, that is a law of nature, live and enjoy.
