Welcome to myLot.
My best travel experience was a trip I took with my good friend to Washington Island. It's an island that is part of the state of Wisconsin, USA. We've been there twice now and enjoyed the trip both times. There is a lot to do and see on the small island. This past summer was our second trip. We especially went to see the lavender fields. They were awesome.

@jdbces There are several beaches. All of them are different. One has dunes, one has limestone rocks, they all offer good views of the Bay of Green Bay we need to take a ferry across to get there. There is a lovely church that is awesome to go through. It has lots of different places to eat and a nice grocery store and general store. You can even camp there. The picture is the church.

We took two trips this month. One was to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina and the other to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina a few weeks later. I love the Great Smokies, the mountains, the fresh air, the nature, the wildlife. There is so much to do there! Check out my post on Little Pigeon Forge River to see how pretty!

Every travel experience I have had has been wonderful. One of my favorites was visiting Norway and seeing the glaciers and sailing on the fjords. Brazil, Europe, China, and Eastern Europe were fabulous, too. Never had a bad trip or vacation. Whatever happened was always exciting and thrilling such as the earthquake in Puerto Rico, the monsoon in Hong Kong, and the armed guards in Paris, Turkey, and Egypt. lol

Thank you for sharing about those wonderful trips. It's good to know that you are always so positive about any kind of situation. Glad you were safe from the earthquake and I was curious about whathappened with the armed guards. lol. Anyway, this is a nice photo of you and your husband. :)

Ive seen social media posts there. It looks like a very serene place. It is a dream-like vacation for me. I had an MBA classmate who did their parents' renewal of vows there. It was an intimate celebration, not a lot of people, just close family. It was a perfect place. How many days did you stay?

@sathviksouvik I can imagine. From the photos I had seen from others, the place isn't really crowded. Was it the same during your vacation?

Sorry I don't usually travel to far places within the country or outside. I just only travel to our capital city for shopping.

For health reasons, I don't travel often. However, I've traveled a few times in the past. When I moved here in 2003, I flew out to visit a friend over the Easter holiday. It was thrilling and anxiety-inducing. I had little issue with the air travel and security, but, I don't think I'd ever travel alone, again.

@jdbces Don't be. I enjoyed the trip. It's just my health has changed since, and the experience thought me things about it I didn't know. I now know how to pace myself, even if all I do is take a day trip out of town with my husband. So, I wouldn't say it's all bad.

@kaylachan I think that traveling really teaches us a lot of things. Day trips with your husband sounds a great bonding for the two of you. :)

We have not gone anywhere this year because of the pandemic. Not even locally. I can't wait to go away somewhere.

@jdbces I never went on my honeymoon. My wish was to have my honeymoon in Paris, France. Not sure that will happen anytime soon. I wouldn't mind going somewhere in the US. I don't think going out of the country will be a good idea for a while.

@lovebuglena Oh, I understand how you feel. Especially honeymoon is very special. Congrats to both of you though. The best thing is you are both safe and healthy.

I haven't traveled to many places, but I did enjoy visiting a place called Longwood Gardens during Christmastime. They have wonderful displays of lights and flowers throughout.

The best travel experience for me and absolutely safe during pandemic is just visiting natural places around my home, it's simple cheap and more refreshing and also safe as we don't meet any people like in the mall or public park.. We usually just make a walking trip to a river or eat together in the wood or farm :-)
