After such an important matter such as the plebiscite, it has been very interesting thing to watch the news. What we did on Sunday, vote for a new constitution to be written, is, of course the begining of it all.
What was also voted and von by a great majority is that the constitution would have to be written by people who would be half men and half women. I wonder how they will get that. Voting?
News have not been as intestesting in my country for a long time. And so, here I am listening all day

The constitution is the embodiment of a people. Good you had a plebiscite. The constitution must be of the people, by the people, for the people.
Learned men and women must work on what is best for Chile. My prayers.

I agree. I just want that the people who write it are the ones who should.

@marguicha I meant to say learned men and women with integrity and conviction. They would know the sentiment of the people and will write a constitution that will benefit the people.

@eileenleyva I hope so too. But I dread that the politicians will grab everything again.

So Chile would have a new Constitution and perhaps a new Government system? That sounds interesting.
I think a select group having people like ex judges or other eminent personalities would be in the group to make the new Constitution.

I think that the Government system will stay in a very similar way. We like to have the Executive, the Legislative and the Court separate. What we need is more equality in many senses.

I agree. To begin with, we won the motion that half of the people writing it should be women.

@marguicha Equal right it is important, women in our society are as important as men and their voice must be heard.

I´m sure it will be a lot better. To begin with, whoever writes it has to remember that is was the people who asked for a change.
