It´s Friday again! Time flies so fast. I have just checked what day the Holy Eve is. It´s Thursday, next week. I thought I have still a week to plan for the menu.
We will have our Christmas dinner on the 24th of this month. Our son will be with us for dinner. I still don´t know what to cook and what dessert I can make. When I will ask my men, they will say, `it´s up to you´. That will not really help me.
Oh, well. I better think about what to make. I have to bake cakes too for orders and for giving to my friends. Anyway, most of the ingredients are here at home. I just have to make a plan.
What food do you make for Christmas dinner?
Thanks for reading. Have a nice weekend everyone.

I bought my hamburger for a hamburger steak with mushroom gravy, either rice or mashed potatoes, can corn with butter for my Christmas dinner. Dessert? I'm getting a yule log. I'm adding a small bread thing loaded with butter.

@thelme55 Yeah, I hope so. I am trying to psyche myself up to making some Christmas cookies, but I just took a walk of over two miles and I feel like sitting down...lol.

I have to decide whether we just cook up something with what we have . . . or do I go shopping again one more time before Christmas if I create a special menu with things I don't have. We will start putting up decorations tomorrow . . . so hopefully I will decide this weekend!

It actually depends. Honestly, I don't know. We never really plan meals, or if we do, plans often change.

@thelme55 No problem. While my husband does plan some things, he doesn't plan everything. He likes being flexible when it comes to some things.

We are making a roaster full of stuffed cabbage for Christmas. It's kinda become a tradition with us. Christmas Eve we will take out from a local Italian restaurant. You have a nice weekend too.

It will be just the three of us this year but it will be turkey, cranberry sauce, chestnut stuffing and tons of Brussels Sprouts which I really dislike but apparently it's an English thing... so I let them have it lol. For dessert, it's Christmas Pudding and custard... And yes, the time is flying!!

OMG! That was the Christmas dinner we had when we were in Ireland. Although I didn´t like much turkey, I still eat a bit of it. It is indeed an English food. Thanks for reminding me of my memory of Christmas in Ireland @Hate2Iron
