I live in a national park

I live and work in a national park situated in the heart of Africa. The park is immense and teeming with wildlife. Our organisation seeks to protect the park from poaching as we are located in a remote area. Apart from protecting the park, we also rehabilitate the park's ecosystem. I feel a sense of satisfaction working for a noble cause. I have decided to share with you how I live in the park, the beauty of the place and its challenges. This morning, I woke up to a stunning view. The birds were singing. I prepared a cup of tea and walked outside in nature. Thousands of leaves were scattered on the ground. It's a sign that the dry season is approaching fast. What would like to know about living in a park? I will be glad to share my experience.

I would like to know if you are annoyed by tourists visiting the park.

Tourism is inexistent for the moment in this park as it's a park that was invaded with poachers for quite a long time and since our organisation took over, we are tightening the security and we have reduced poaching to almost nothing. For tourism to thrive, it will take a couple of more years as there's a whole lot of work to be done in this direction: from building roads to developing guides.

@excellence7 I am so glad you worked to reduce poaching. You will be fine until tourists do not invade your territory.

I like a post or discussion on a day in the life of a national park employee. Working at national parks is actually one of my dream jobs, but life has taken me in a different direction and I have to make the best of what was handed and dealt to me. So now, I only live vicariously through people like you or other YouTubers (although there's only very few of them) who video their day to day.

That sounds wonderful, just share the things you see and do every day. But I am confused - how can you be in the heart of Africa when your bio says Mauritius?

I will surely share more posts on my life in the park. I am from Mauritius but I work as an expatriate in the African continent.

wow this is really amazing, you can say camping in the wild, oh yeah you forgot to add your photo, I can't find it anywhere, I really want to see that photo of you. and do you work every day? and take a vacation every weekend like normal office work? and I also want to know (as we all want to know) how much our salary for doing this job is it? and are there any stressful moments that you experience while doing this work?

Thank you for your comment. Yes, it is indeed amazing here. I am trying to add the photo but it's not uploading. I will try again. I work from Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 15:30. We are free on weekends. About salary, unfortunately I cannot disclose this as this is confidential. We do have stressful moments of work but the environment is so calm, that a walk in nature can make you forget everything.
