Today, a colleague of mine is showing off his baby scorpion. I am quite terrified because it is a poisonous one. For me, it is an unusual pet to have in the house. I just commented to him that it will in danger of his life and family. For some reason, I just keep to myself why will I invite a dangerous creature into a safe place like home. They should be in their natural habitat instead.
What would be your reaction to seeing this kind of unusual pet?
Are you going to freak out?

I have no interest in any "unusual" or exotic pets. For me what belongs to the wild, belongs to the wild. These creatures are better off in their natural habitat. And the domestic ones, are the ones that are really meant for humans to be pets at home. And it's much better if it stays that way...

@Shavkat Isn't it that it's how it is supposed to be? The problem arises when man messes up with the balance in nature. Everything has its proper place even in the animal kingdom.

I would love to have a similar pet.
Speaking of unusual pets, I had an albino python before and an iguana.

@hereandthere got them at different times.
Mostly stayed at my room. Had a sizeable terrarium for both.
I had them out in my room but both got their scents on everything so I had to keep them in the terrarium.

Oh, my!
I often wonder what people are thinking when they bring home dangerous animals and call them 'pets'. Is the person stupid or just very ignorant? *shake my head*
Although I did keep baby walking sharks for several years, they weren't dangerous. And I didn't choose to bring them home with me. They were a gift mailed to me from a friend in Australia. I was very surprised when I received them through the mail. I couldn't believe they could/would live through being handled by the US Post Office.
Now, the only pets I own are my fish and my
daughter. (Sometimes, I think about sending my daughter back when she is being very obstinate. ![](/Content/images/emotes/whistle.gif)

@DaddyEvil The feeling is mutual then. With this topic, I am planning to make a discussion about it.
They are so sweet then. Are you planning to have them again?

I haven't tried to pet sea creatures like that, except the goldfish. In fact, they were my younger brother's pet who cannot sustain taking good care of them during our teen years. I really cannot understand why they are so passionate about wild animals or insects.
Be careful, Pretty might see your statement about her.
She might react differently.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

I have called Pretty my pet for years... often in her hearing. When I do she claims she is keeping me as her pet!
The baby walking sharks acted like puppies. When I let them out of their tank they would follow me and squeak until I stopped and cuddled them.

i wish i can own a bamboo forest,a brook and a quiet cabin, then i can breed a cute pet. That's Panda. It was found by the foreigner.Pandas had a pathetic life, they were the tributes of the royalty,so people hunted, captured and slaughtered them for their skins. But after the Foreigner found them, they become the treasure of this country and finally they get the freedom and Panda Rights.I really like them, because they look very adorable

No scorpions for me. I would not mind having a small chimp I could hold by the hand and go out on walks with,

I would be anxious, but I know how to mask it pretty well. Don't need to give an animal a reason to attack.
