We have this tree just outside our gate but I maintain it. It does not belong to us and nice to see people around enjoying the fruit. The weird weather has resulted in the tree yielding already.
We had our first lot of fruits this morning. Here is a photo of the fruits for those who do not know what bher fruits looks like.
This was my childhood favourite. A woman used to sit outside the school gate selling this fruit.
What has been your childhood favourite fruit?

They are sweet and sour. Probably your helper brought some rotten fruits.

This reminds me of my grandfather's house. We had a three bher tree inside campus and enough fruits for the whole neighborhood. This is one of my favorite one. We have a tradition of offering first bher produce to Saraswati on Basant Panchami day/ Saraswati Puja.

I remember there was a tree in a compound and no one living there. We used to go there and pick these fruits. Even now I like them. In fact a friend of mine now a grandmother was talking about them and I will probably courier them to her.

@allknowing That would be a nice thing to do. You courier the green ones. Once they start ripening they get spoilt fast.
The trees are really tall ones. My grandma used to send her person up there and he would shake the branches and pluck it. We would just spread our sheets down to collect it.

@arunima25 I do not let anyone shake the tree as green ones also drop. We have a clean surface below the tree - weeds that have just been trimmed. We only pick what drop down.

@allknowing you should try. I can say it's good but different people have different reaction towards it. Some would love, some would hate.

I'd have to say Apples, oranges or grapes. I was never much of a "healthy" eater, but I did occasionally enjoy fruit or veggies.

Children normally go for fruits that are not normally enjoyed by adults.

@allknowing I just looked them up; they sound a little bit like crisp apples to eat.
