When I am in England I love afternoon tea. Scones with jam and cream, little sandwiches and then sweets. So yummy with many cups of tea. I have been having a cup of tea in the afternoon with some cookies . These cookies are almost guilt free. Very thin and very tasty. I love my tea with milk and sugar. Funny since I drink my coffee black. I find the tea and small snack very comfortably in these trying times.

I only drink green or black iced tea, except for when I drink herbal slimming tea or super dieters tea.

@Spontaneo I have eaten my fair share. With a high tea there is usually a motor meal component like cottage pie

@BelleStarr I would love to have a High Tea! Atleast I think that is what it is called. Do you ever serve cucumber sandwiches?

@bellestarr How very civilised, afternoon tea. I prefer Earl Grey, with an Empire biscuit.

I’ve done that several times and it is special. We went to a tea dance in London as well, lol but tea at the Orangery st Kensington Palace is my favorite.

I trust you allowed that tea to brew for a lot longer. It looks rather anaemic. It should be strong enough for the spoon to stand up in it

The flavor of peppermint tea is great but it's a diuretic so if you have a condition that requires you stay hydrated you really shouldn't drink it @BelleStarr

Unfortunately for me, I don't like tea to drink, I really can't stand it! I enjoy the afternoon tea experience though, I just have to have coffee instead. I like a 'cream tea' with fresh scones served with jam and clotted cream.

@BelleStarr I can imagine. I guess you could try making your own - but of course that's hard work and not at all the afternoon tea experience!
